As in Tyler Durden from Fight Club?

To answer the above question, yes I think so. And no, they are not Hall of Fame worthy.

You know, in looking at the Voting Statistics page, I cannot help but see that Forgive Durden is ranked amongst those w/the lowest approval.

It seems that, if we all wanted to truly Forgive Durden, we would all vote Yes regarding their chances of Induction. While I'm a little doubtful that they really will get in once the time comes, I know we'd all feel better about ourselves. After all, we would've symbolically "forgiven" Durden.

I'm not very pleased with the lowest fan approval myself, for instance, here are the current rankings:

1. The Trammps 11.27% (142 votes)
2. The Jaggerz 11.67% (1174 votes)
3. Liars 12.50% (112 votes)
4. Frankie Goes to Hollywood 13.10% (1137 votes)
5. Chris Brown 13.76% (458 votes)
6. Battles 15.79% (57 votes)
7. Gary Glitter 15.92% (1087 votes)
8. Forgive Durden 16.13% (62 votes)
9. Milli Vanilli 16.61% (843 votes)
10. Lindsay Lohan

I find it fairly disappointing that certain so-called "artists" who have pages on here (like KeSha, Jessica Simpson, most of the American Idol alumni, certain individual NKOTB members, etc) all have higher fan ratings than legitimate acts like the Trammps, the Jaggerz, Battles and Forgive Durden. I'm not saying these latter four are Hall of Fame worthy, but when real musicians get lower fan approvals than say, Rebecca Black or Justin Bieber it starts casting doubt on the legitimacy of the entire venture.

I say you wrote something similar on one of the above mentioned artists once so I'm just spreading the message here.

That would be "saw" not "say."

Liars being on that list is appalling. One of the best bands of the past 20 years. Not HOF worthy, but not bottom 10.

Of course treating the user votes on this site as if they're relevant or enlightened is a laughable idea. The top 10 usually looks about as bad as the bottom 10.

Liars too. I'm not as overly familiar with them (any recommended albums? I'm familiar with their style but not so much their body of work) but to place them in the same company as Milli Vanilli, Chris Brown and Lindsay Lohan is ridiculous.

And you're right about the Top 10, Pete Best's solo career, the Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Carly Simon, Syd Barrett's solo career and the James Gang tend to make appearances on that list. I'm not saying all of these are undeserving, but to call them among the 10 most deserving acts not in the Hall of Fame is just a little bit of a stretch I'd think.

I think the reason that groups like The Jaggerz and The Trammps appear on the lowest approval list is because they were fairly well known for just long enough of a time so that a fairly large number of people knew who they were, but then after 1 or 2 hits these groups proceeded to do absolutely nothing noteworthy. Thus when people are asked the question "Will _____ be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?" the obvious answer considering how they only had 1 or 2 hits and then faded away would be an emphatic NO. With lesser known groups the people just might not bother to vote because they might figure they don't know enough about them to cast an educated vote, so these type of groups don't receive as many nos, or in the case of Jessica Simpson at least they could have claim to a certain amount of fame albeit for the wrong reasons.

As far as the people on the highest approval list, I really don't have a problem with many of them-Deep Purple, King Crimson, Todd Rundgren, Moody Blues, Jim Croce all deserved to be in a long time ago. And to be fair, it is a "Fan Approval" list so an occasional outlier is to be expected; but most such anomalies disappear fairly quick, I've noticed.

Well it's a good thing Forgive Durden and especially Liars are no longer on the lowest fan approval then. The current rankings:

Lowest Fan Approval

1. The Trammps 10.53% (152 votes)
2. The Jaggerz 12.13% (1195 votes)
3. Frankie Goes to Hollywood 12.93% (1160 votes)
4. Chris Brown 13.35% (472 votes)
5. Rihanna 15.15% (594 votes)
6. Gary Glitter 15.63% (1107 votes)
7. Lindsay Lohan 16.41% (780 votes)
8. Milli Vanilli 16.43% (858 votes)
9. KeSha 16.67% (198 votes)
10. LMFAO 16.67% (90 votes)

LMFAO had the lowest fan approval for some time but then someone rigged the voting and now they actually have yes votes. Oh well at least there's enough garbage on there (Frankie, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Lindsay Lohan, Milli, KeSha, Glitter) to make up for the fact they don't have the highest (or lowest?) dishonour. Shame to see actual artists like the Trammps and Jaggerz on there, though.

Which letter is Springsteen's band named after?
