I believe that they will be inducted based on the fact that the were very infuential to the punk genre and scene and made a sound all their own by combing music of Celtic infuence.

I doubt a genre called "Celtic Punk" will have any representatives in the hall, but fun stuff.

1. Not before the Pogues who are scores better, more influential and were around long before.

Celtic Rock. They havn't been Punk since 1999. They are a unique band with great writers. They also help out the comunity. Oh and people like Bruce Springsteen support them.

No, Brittany. Green Day sucks. You just have shitty taste in music.

I say no. Some artists often get harshly criticized for being rip-offs of another act that came before them (like the Dropkick Murphys being accused of being blatant rip-offs of the Pogues), however, if no artist ever followed in the footsteps of an artist that came before them how exactly would perpetuation work? (yes, I know I'm oversimplifying here). Still though, the Pogues were ultimately more innovative, more influential, and (IMO) did Celtic Punk better. So in summary, I say yes to the Pogues and no to the Dropkick Murphys. (And no to Flogging Molly too)
