Something is very wrong with the world if McDonna is in the RNRHOF and the likes of Buffy, Bonnie Bramlett, Jackie DeShannon, Julie Driscoll, Marianne Faithfull, Lulu, Melanie, Nico, Yoko Ono, Dory Previn, Suzi Quatro, and Carly Simon, etc. are not.

I first head Buffy sing at La Cave, a folksy coffee house, in Cleveland, Ohio. It was back in the early 1960's. She was so beautiful and so very talented! I've been listening to her music ever since, and I can't understand why she's not in the RNRHOF! Her songs have been well known around the world, and her activism for women, peace, and indigenous peoples has been apowerful. She has appeared on concert stages, in small venues, on Sesame Street, always bringing her brilliant talent and message to the people fortunate enough to hear her in person, on record, or on the screen. Her albums cover every genre, from folk to rock, ballad to blues, country to contemporary, protest to mystical. She has aged like a fine wine, and her talent has continued to flourish. She belongs in the RNRHOF as an artist and an influencer.

Blacklisted off radio by nixon and Johnson, should have been as big as Joni Mitchell or Joan Baez but sang and fought and protested for her people instead.

True legend saint and genius. One of the greatest singer songwriters ever

Listen to "little wheel spin and spin" and tell me that isn't rock or couldn't have been a hit. Much like Billie holiday, censored by the U.S. government before times started changing. And she was as part of that change and influence as all The other great legends from the golden age of music. Even if she was robbed of being heard.

I am dumbfounded that Buffy Sainte Marie has not been inducted...unbelievable. What a life...what a career!!! She's 80! What the hell does it take to get into this place??!!!

I've been very harsh on Buffy for the past three days in the aftermath of CBC's exposé on her lying about having indigenous ancestry.

I'm not going to express my frustration here because I already expressed them on Twitter. However, I will say that before she was exposed I did predict that she will be inducted into the rock hall one day (either as musical excellence or early/musical influence). Buffy made albums that were excellent.

Her album "Illuminations" is my favorite Buffy album because it was way ahead of its time. Plus, she influenced countless artists (even those who are non-indigenous). Even though the revelation of her non-indigenous ancestry might destroy her credibility as an indigenous artist, it's not going to destroy her powerful music, her decades of activism, etc. I think she still might have a chance to be inducted into the rock hall someday, despite the controversy.

Never happening- no one cares or even knows about BSM, or even her 'native heritage'…
