Will Bryan Ferry be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
"Musical excellence is the essential qualification for induction."

Definitely put him in as a membe of Roxy Music. The solo career kind of follows the trend of Lou Reed, Iggy Pop etc., so 'no' for the solo stuff.

It is inexcusable that a legendary writer/singer/entertainer of Bryan Ferry's caliber has not been inducted into the Hall of Fame. If I were Bryan Ferry I would, at this point, refuse any belated 'honor' these nitwits would bestow upon me.

Ferry is a legend - one of the most influential artists via Roxy and solo. If his success in America was the same as his success for the rest of Planet Earth -- he would be a slam dunk to make the rockhall, given the Hall's anti-Brit bias.

He should be chosen without a doubt, he has been such a master at his craft, a front man any man would like to would be such a big question forever being asked like Brian Clough not being chosen for the England will be asked time and time again.

well, he won't make it for 2012.what a slap in the face for the frontman of the most influential band out of england, after the beatles.ferry and his band influenced so many not only with their music but with fashion, nuance, and on and on. complete disregard for this guy.but you know what they say life is not fair but when did have to be so dumb!

Absolutely Paul,

I like Bryan Ferry's solo work also.

However, I think that his chances of induction are much better with his band, Roxy Music, than as a solo artist, at this time.

Roxy Music's final album, "Avalon" was an absolute masterpiece and arguably, their greatest recording.

Which letter is Springsteen's band named after?
