Barry White defines "love making music." How the heck isn't he already in? Posted by James on Saturday, 08/17/2013 @ 22:04pm |
*****BARRY WHITE***** Posted by Bill G. on Tuesday, 10/7/2014 @ 16:13pm |
One of the very best to do it. To have sold 100 million records in 6 years. He should have been in on first ballot. He made music that appealed to everyone and it made them feel good. Barry Eugene White from Los Angeles CA. The titles of his songs should get him in alone. Never gonna give you up. The Maestro! Need i say more? Barry White is a legendary Musician who lived and loved music. I am surprised that he did not get inducted before he passed away. So let's get him in now and stop wasting time and put the Maestro in the R.R.H.O.F. Posted by James Drummond on Friday, 12/4/2020 @ 05:48am |
Barry White has got one of the unusually smooth voices ever. died way too soon. Had great stage presence.Besides while listening on the radio other people created alot of babies while listening to him. Posted by edward bateman on Tuesday, 07/27/2021 @ 14:59pm |
Barry's place is on the US stamp not the R&R Hall of Fame where every single act will eventually get in. He and his voice are national treasures. Posted by Parson on Tuesday, 09/21/2021 @ 01:11am |
He should have been in the Hall of Fame YEARS ago!!!! Rectify the mistake!! Posted by Phyllis on Sunday, 10/24/2021 @ 16:18pm |
Your Hall should be renamed: Posted by Watren “Butch” Color on Saturday, 02/5/2022 @ 10:39am |
BARRY WHITE. WHAT MORE CAN I SAY? Posted by Gene on Friday, 06/24/2022 @ 15:37pm |
I'm going there next month and looked up to see when he was inducted. Horrified me to see he's not there. All the girls I've ever met said if Barry White was a cake he would be Chocolate Fudge ♥ Posted by David Rhys Morgan on Wednesday, 09/7/2022 @ 17:01pm |
After Frank Sinatra, the one individual to increase the birth rate in the United States, due to their love songs, Mr. Barry Eugene White! Posted by Lee Pagan on Sunday, 01/1/2023 @ 13:35pm |
I hope that when they do induct him, it's as Barry White and Love Unlimited, to get them in when they can (because we know how difficult it is to fix these oversights later on). Also - "Love's Theme" should be part of his induction, too. Posted by Bookhouse on Saturday, 01/21/2023 @ 12:35pm |
It is absolutely criminal for the hall to have overlooked Mr White all these years. It shows talent, endurance, lifestyle and selling power has nothing to do with who gets inducted. It's all politics. You have artist in there not older than some of Mr Whites hits. In my opinion the process is totally corrupt. But we don't need the Hall of Fame to remember the Maestro! We will always remember the Great Barry White. Posted by Mackaroni Tony on Sunday, 06/18/2023 @ 07:36am |
As Black people in America, historically it has been difficult to be recognized for most levels of outstanding accomplishments. Barry White, not being inducted into the RRHF, is more indicative of societal shortcomings than his obvious talents. How can an artist who has sold over 100 million records (worldwide) have to wait 20 plus years for his undue recognition? Nothing but shame and ignorance should define the members who routinely vote and continue to support this obvious omission. Posted by Wayne Brathwaite on Tuesday, 10/17/2023 @ 23:10pm |
If Isaac Hayes is in the hall of fame Barry white should most definitely be inducted! Posted by Terrence Bailey on Saturday, 11/18/2023 @ 18:24pm |
Truly a disgrace that Barry White is NOT in the hall of fame. Posted by William Reeves on Wednesday, 11/29/2023 @ 20:52pm |
I have been hearing his albums recently. He is so talented. The scores of his albums of rym are too low. Yes, he is influenced by and somewhat similar with Isaac Hayes, but Barry develops his own styles. I feel he should be included soon. Posted by power on Friday, 12/1/2023 @ 11:20am |
It's 2024 and I assumed that he was already in the RRHOF. Barry's career from 1972-1983 along with his resurgence from 1987-1999 should get him in on general principle. Who else flourished as a solo artist as well as producing two other outstanding acts (Love Unlimited, Love Unlimited Orchestra), not to mention his collaborations with other artists such as Quincy Jones, Kenny G, Tina Turner, Regina Belle, Gerald Albright, Gerald Levert, Chuckii Booker, Switch, Issac Hayes, and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Please do the right thing and induct thus remarkable artist!!! Posted by Gregory Davis on Saturday, 01/6/2024 @ 12:39pm |

He should be inducted long time ago. One of the biggest rnb acts in 70s (bigger than Sly Stone, P-Funk, Spinners, OJays, Bobby Womack...). He is fundamental in soul music and disco music. Posted by Malik Pope on Saturday, 02/3/2024 @ 23:23pm |
