Part of the TRAVESTY of the "Hallowed Hall's" self-imposed "moratorium" on inducting classic R&B acts,is that some true deserving LEGENDS are being COMPLETELY IGNORED.

One of the most GLARING examples of this "rockist" policy is The MAESTRO himself....BARRY WHITE.

One of the very best to do it. To have sold 100 million records in 6 years. He should have been in on first ballot. He made music that appealed to everyone and it made them feel good. Barry Eugene White from Los Angeles CA. The titles of his songs should get him in alone. Never gonna give you up. The Maestro! Need i say more?

Let's be clear here:

BARRY WHITE is no more of a "Disco" artist than Rod Stewart or The Rolling Stones were.
He was a R&B artist who "rode the wave" of Disco , just as numerous other acts of that time did.
..Or have you fotgotten such dubious "classics" as "EMOTIONAL RESCUE" , "I MISS YOU" , or "DO YOU THINK I'M SEXY ?" .
Most of Barry's songs were smooth , romantic Soul Music. Because he made several uptempo songs too, don't classify him as simply a "Disco" artist.
THAT would be unfairly trivializing this man's phenomenal career !!

Barry White is a legendary Musician who lived and loved music. I am surprised that he did not get inducted before he passed away. So let's get him in now and stop wasting time and put the Maestro in the R.R.H.O.F.

Barry White has got one of the unusually smooth voices ever. died way too soon. Had great stage presence.Besides while listening on the radio other people created alot of babies while listening to him.

' The Hall Of Shame '
Too many of the truly GREAT ONES are not in or even considered to be in your hall!
If I was as talented and a HIT MAKER such as Lionel Ritchie getting in this year, I would say NO THANK YOU..How can I be inducted when 'The Man' Barry White isn't in and only is considered oneday to be in!?!
The man's been dead for almost 20 years…How dare you untalented people be in charge when you obviously know little about true super talent!!!

I hope that when they do induct him, it's as Barry White and Love Unlimited, to get them in when they can (because we know how difficult it is to fix these oversights later on). Also - "Love's Theme" should be part of his induction, too.

It is absolutely criminal for the hall to have overlooked Mr White all these years. It shows talent, endurance, lifestyle and selling power has nothing to do with who gets inducted. It's all politics. You have artist in there not older than some of Mr Whites hits. In my opinion the process is totally corrupt. But we don't need the Hall of Fame to remember the Maestro! We will always remember the Great Barry White.

As Black people in America, historically it has been difficult to be recognized for most levels of outstanding accomplishments. Barry White, not being inducted into the RRHF, is more indicative of societal shortcomings than his obvious talents. How can an artist who has sold over 100 million records (worldwide) have to wait 20 plus years for his undue recognition? Nothing but shame and ignorance should define the members who routinely vote and continue to support this obvious omission.

I have been hearing his albums recently. He is so talented. The scores of his albums of rym are too low. Yes, he is influenced by and somewhat similar with Isaac Hayes, but Barry develops his own styles. I feel he should be included soon.

He should be inducted long time ago. One of the biggest rnb acts in 70s (bigger than Sly Stone, P-Funk, Spinners, OJays, Bobby Womack...). He is fundamental in soul music and disco music.
