11 comments so far (post your own)Shows how much credibility the American Music Awards ever had if these guys beat Alice in Chains and Nirvana. I'm sure neither band ever even took note of their 'loss,' they were too busy changing the world. Posted by Sunking278 on Wednesday, 04/24/2013 @ 03:44am |

They definitely deserve to be in the Hall of Fame! Their power ballads are amazing such talent here shame they've been overlooked-hope to see them on the list soon. Their performance at Red Rocks esp 'All She Wrote'? I still hear that on our rock radio station-these guys are good and definitely deserving of a spot! I have heard of Firehouse. They had the hits "Don't Treat Me Bad" and "Love Of A Lifetime" which I think were their only hits. Posted by Brian Schonour on Monday, 10/17/2022 @ 21:55pm |
Their ballot "Love of a Lifetime" alone has probably been played at more weddings than any other song. They definitely deserve to be in the HOF. Posted by Dennis on Saturday, 05/20/2023 @ 15:31pm |
The AMAs are the largest fan voted awards. It was a democratic choice. Posted by Alex on Sunday, 06/18/2023 @ 16:53pm |
Firehouse is one of the greatest all time bands. My favorite concert ever was seeing them along with Warrant, Trixter, and a dozen or so local bands, in summer 1991 outdoors at the Apple River in Somerset Wisconsin. I still have the ticket stub. I bought their first three albums. Don't treat me bad is one of the greatest songs ever, along with so many others including Love of a lifetime, All she wrote, Shake and tumble, Rock on the radio, Overnight sensation, Reach for the sky, When I look into your eyes, Love is a dangerous thing, Here for you, and Trying to make a living.
