Her work with Big Brother is her most popular work. They should make up for such a travesty. Posted by Lucario on Monday, 12/2/2013 @ 23:16pm |

Should Big Brother and the Holding Company be inducted in the Musical Excellence category or should they be nominated in the main performers category? Posted by Roy on Sunday, 01/24/2016 @ 17:14pm |
Had it not been for these rockin bad boys. I doubt we would have of ever head the name Joplin...As nice as her later stuff was.. Big Brother had the sound edge that made her give it all...Rough around the edges cutting deep in the feel of all that was to be Janis heart and soul.. Should they be nominated or go in the Musical Excellence category? Posted by Roy on Saturday, 07/7/2018 @ 13:07pm |
Whether if it’s Performers or the Musical Excellence category, these guys should get in. If Janis was still alive right now, she would be upset about her bands being part of the on-going HOF snubs. Posted by The Dude on Saturday, 07/7/2018 @ 16:24pm |
What I'd like to see is another special committee inducting neglected backing groups. Big Brother, The Belmonts, Silver Bullet Band. They need to learn that the frontman is not the only thing that's important. Posted by Anonymous on Monday, 08/27/2018 @ 02:21am |
Big Brother hasn't been nominated and the mind numbing bullshit of Kraftwerk has been nominated four times. The Rock Hall is a shitstain. Posted by D. Stroy on Wednesday, 12/5/2018 @ 03:26am |
You just had to be there!!! Cheap Thrills is one of the 5 best albums of the '60s... period. They defined the San Francisco scene and should have been inducted when first eligible. Posted by Roland C. on Monday, 05/3/2021 @ 22:24pm |
BB & the HC really SHOULD BE in the Hall of Fame. The quality of Janis' work declined somewhat after her departure. From 'Me & Bobby McGee, going forward, the quality of her work was just not as good. I LOVE everything she did with BB, but she wasn't as successful after them... not as many chart toppers, nnor the prior quality of the music. Posted by HandymanRon on Friday, 11/11/2022 @ 11:41am |
