Motley Crue is complaining about not being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Does this suggest they might be nominated next year? Last year, Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner, and Cher made similar complaints and then were all inducted this year.

I don't think they'd be a first choice once we reach the 00s. Paramore, the strokes (not a fan of strokes btw), MCR, And QOTSA I think will all happen before. Plus white stripes ( I think many view them as 00s despite debuting in 1998)

Coldplay + Thom Yorke aka Muse is probably a decade away I'd guess. They're big enough.

Josh Homme I feel depends. He is a Damon Albarn like figure (someone I think will get ME) but I think Queens of the Stone Age could contend but that's way down the line (like 2040 or something). I do think him getting involved could impact things and I do think he's gonna induct someone very soon.

I think P Diddy had little influence on TLC' case because he wasn't a major collaborator with them; he only participated in a very small amount of their work.

As for KC, the strength of the alternative crowd seems quite weak, lacking any absolute power. You can see that apart from U2, REM, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam, other artists supported by the alternative camp always struggle. Additionally, KC is likely to lack support from the industry (record labels and concert staff), which is extremely crucial for voting. KC is likely to be chosen in the future as musical excellence.

The person organizing Destiny's Child events at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame might not be on the nomination committee, as the event organizers and the nominating committee might be from different departments. KC's situation is complex. It's certain that the pop camp and the Black camp generally won't vote for them, and neither will Bruce Springsteen and his circle. KC's influential friend, Daryl Hall, seems to view KC as a good partner for experimenting with music, but doesn't seem to seriously fight for KC's chances. I think many in the British rock circle would vote for KC, but I'm less certain about other classic rock acts in the U.S. I even doubt that KC's name has ever come up in a nomination committee meeting. I'm pessimistic about their chances, despite believing they truly deserve to be inducted.

It strengths their case and gives them longevity also All Right Now is more well known than any Bad Company now

Beside Stevie doesn't have that much power anymore on the main Performers category nominating committee and is only now restricted to side categories

I think Phil Collins and Bryan Adams have better chance than Supertramp, way more influential, way more hits and most importantly way more connected.

So I think after Foreigner (who are also well connected but only are hated by RS people) and Peter Frampton, Phil and Bryan have good chance as not only they have many hits and good album sales, but also they are most connected in classic rock snubs.

Coldplay has many more hit singles and significantly higher album sales in the United States compared to Oasis and The White Stripes. Additionally, Chris Martin is known for having better relationships within the industry, getting along with almost everyone, unlike Jack White and especially the Gallagher brothers, who have quite a few industry enemies. Coldplay has also collaborated with many mainstream pop musicians, which Oasis and The White Stripes lack. Of course, anything can happen (as we saw with Mariah Carey's Hall of Fame snub), but I still think Coldplay's case is much stronger than that of The White Stripes and Oasis.

As much as I love Coldplay, I just have a really hard time seeing them get in on their first try especially if fellow British bands Radiohead and Oasis couldn't get in on their first try and fellow 2000's Rock act The White Stripes couldn't get in on their first try, so I see Coldplay doing the same.
