Alan Light in Shrek's podcast clearly pointed out that the passing of Thom Bell reminded of people to nominate Thom Bell, also I think passing of Burt Bacharach helps Dionne Warwick in this year (my expression is not polite sorry).

So it seems that the passing of a producer will definitely lead to a corresponding performer nominee/inductee

  Cyndi Lauper has a new documentary about her life and career coming out on Paramount+ on June 4 called Let The Canary Sing which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last year and it's directed by the same woman who directed the documentary on The Go-Go's, Alison Ellwood and we all know that documentary helped The Go-Go's to get nominated and inducted in 2021, and Cyndi has been previously nominated once for the 2023 class, so I expect that combined with Cyndi potentially inducting Cher at this year's ceremony, that she'll come back and get her second nomination next year for the 2025 class and she'll get in this time around, just like Pat Benatar and Eurythmics did on their second tries for the 2022 class after being previously nominated for the 2018 class (Eurythmics) and 2020 class (Pat Benatar) respectively.

If this original Larks from 1950 North Carolina Larks, they should have been been inducted! The original members Gene Mumford, David McNeil, Raymond (Pee Wee) Barnes, Allen (Tarheel) Bunn and Thurman Ruth. They should have been recognized many years prior to now. It would have been nice if they were inducted in 1976 because all the members were still alive.

Anyways, what's interesting about the movie now is that Janet, Tupac, and Q-Tip are now in the rock hall. For those who haven't seen the movie - Janet plays the main character Justice. At the start of the movie she witnessed her boyfriend (played by Q-Tip) get shot and killed by a gang member, leaving her depressed. Then she meets Lucky (Tupac's character), who she meets at a hair salon she works at. At first, they didn't like each other, but as the movie progressed they fell in love.

Also, I feel No Doubt is almost a done deal for nomination in 2025. They have a huge popular resurgence now and I will not rule out the possibility that they will be FYE. They may get many industry votes (concert promoters).

I think that next year is gonna be either Beck or Soundgarden's year for induction if one of them are nominated, As well as it should be. As much as I love Coldplay, I just don't see them getting in on their first try, I see Coldplay being more in line with Radiohead, The White Stripes and Oasis than Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters, so I just don't see Coldplay getting inducted before Beck or Soundgarden, I really think that it's gonna be either Beck or Soundgarden's year next year if one of them are nominated, As well as it should be.

did we expect Peter Frampton even to be nominated before 2023 ceremony? No one in discussion forum predicted Peter would finally in before that ceremony.

I do not think rock hall will soon end the white boomer rock induction soon and every year probably will induct at least 2-3 related inductees otherwise the repeat of 2023 poor selling number may happen again. I feel 10-20 more related white boomer/early gen x rock acts will be inducted in the future (although I do not think it is good move)

I think that the only Classic Rock/Hard Rock/Heavy Metal acts left that have a real chance are Bad Company, Jethro Tull, Boston, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Thin Lizzy, Motley Crue, and maybe The Monkees, The Guess Who and Blue Oyster Cult. I think that The J. Geils Band's time has passed and I just don't see Styx, REO Speedwagon, Toto or Poison ever getting nominated/inducted.
