KoL rule! 4 strong albums and counting, showing a steady development and they're only about to (hopefully) break through in America. At the moment, their prospects of induction are higher than for, say, The Strokes.

No way are their prospects for induction higher than The Strokes. The Strokes' "Is This It?" Is already a classic. Kings of Leon hasn't done anything with that much weight, and they probably won't. I don't think they'll get in, and this website doesn't either. 11 % vs. 47 % for the strokes?

Don't surrender on the Kings that fast. "The fact that they've moved away from the "Youth & Young Manhood" sound is a little disconcerting, at least when they dig so deep into new wave that they can't find there way back home. Still, they have released four albums that show they are tracing a distinct path. The Strokes were fine on "Is This It", but "Room on Fire' didn't exactly light anything up. It took a while for them to break here, but they have lasted this long, so that could bode well for them down the line.

Kings Of Leon are an amazing band who hopefully will be around for a long time , and i can't wait for the new album to be released in 2010! hopefully its more like Youth & Young Manhood, more Southern Rockish!!!!!!

For all you classic rockers on this website.. you gotta check out Kings of Leon. They will be dominating classic rock radio in 10 years (if radio will still exist then).

I may LOVE KoL, but they havent really had a great influence on much. They have great songts, catchy melodies and such, but theres not much innovation in my opinion

Please no. I knew they'd be voted for here. I've heard their stuff and it sounds just too dull and poppy. 2028 they'll be forgotten.

They're in. Great story (growing up on the road with a traveling Pentecostal preacher before discovering sex, drugs, & rock 'n' roll), years spent releasing solid albums and becoming a staple of the European festival circuit, a handful of massive hits ("Sex on Fire," "Use Somebody," "Radioactive"). I can't imagine them not being inducted in the future.

can't wait for their documentary coming out next month. been watching a ton of documentaries lately (rolling stones, doors, pearl jam).. really stoked to see a more modern band's story. It'll be great to have some insight into their lives because they really do create great music!
