At one point during the making of USA For Africa's We Are The World, the whole room broke out into Tally Me Bananas, but Bob Dylan just stood there with that tired look on his face. FU Bob Dylan! Harry Belafonte would get in the Rock Hall on the first try, as would Dionne Warwick, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings, all from USA For Africa!

Damn it! I was wrong again! Harry Belafonte actually beat Dionne Warwick, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. I was right about Harry Belafonte possibly getting an early influence induction.

WOW! Of all of this year's inductees, the one I am most excited about is Harry Belafonte, and I'm a child of the 1980s.

What a talent, voice and man of great courage and humanitarianism. Have loved his music variety sine I was a little girl, as my parents both loved him. Learned all the words from their record collection. Got to meet him as an adult. Was a thrill! I still play his music. He has earned this! Bless you Harry Belafonte

Elizabeth Cotten and Harry Belafonte are being inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in the same year on purpose. This was planned. Elizabeth Cotten was the maid for Pete Seeger's father, Charles Seeger, and Pete Seeger's stepmother, Ruth Crawford Seeger. Harry Belafonte gave the induction speech for Pete Seeger at the 1996 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony.
