Congrats to Freddie King for being inducted, it should have been in the Performer category, but an induction nevertheless.

Freddie "The Texas Cannonball" King should be inducted! He is the influence of major inductee's such as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck. His blend of Texas Delta and Southside Chicago Blues changed the direction of Blues Guitar forever. He was the first to take blues to a rock level and never look back. Almost every rock guitar and bluesy riff heard today can be attributed to Freddie King. He was a master of his 445 Gibson and played from what his heart told him to play. He died young and has been forgotton so that works against him being inducted but simply based on influence to the Modern Day Blues Guitar styling, The Texas Canonball should be inducted! @JEV1A

So the Rock Hall nominates Wanda Jackson and Freddie King in the main performers category and then inducts them in the early influence category, and Freddie King's daughter is named Wanda too.

Elton John mentioned Freddie King last year in his induction speech for Leon Russell, and Freddie King was inducted this year.
