I have seen people making their annual RRHOF lists. Some cultish bands with a couple hits. A couple of chic picks. Also, a few bands that will be re-nominated. Well, Alabama has to be inducted into the RRHOF if you are talking about impact, musical excellence, influence etc. Alabama's greatness lies in strong 3 voice choruses and a mix of country, folk, rock, and pop. 40+ years of musical excellence by Owen, Cook, Gentry, Herndon. Group of the 1980's. What an honor! 40+ #1 Hits!!! Incredible songs Classics. Dixieland Delight, High Cotton, Love In The First Degree, Mountain Music, Roll On 18 Wheeler, Song Of The South, The Closer You Get, etc. Nearly 80 songs charted and many platinum albums. I know country artists are frozen out of the RRHOF in recent years. Willie Nelson a prime example of this kind of snub. No matter as it's Alabama's time for nomination and induction. I doubt Alabama will show up on Nick's final 20 artists or on the music intelligencia's Final 2021 Nominees list. Using any HOF measure though, Alabama would rank high at the top and cast a broad shadow over other candidates. KING

The country music Alabama should have already been inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Over 40 #1 hits, all their albums; including gospel albums. They have raised money for Hurricane Hugo victims by doing a live televised concert. They also raised money for tornado victims in their home State Alabama and other states as well. Let's not forget all The June Jams they used to do. They were Artist if the Decade and has won manynither music awards. I do believe that Randy Owen has personally donated to ST. JUDES HOSPITAL for cancer research (I may be wrong; please correct me if I am) Alabama has also raised money for cancer research thru T.J. Martell as well. Come on Alabama fans; let get our country boys inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!! They deserve it!!! Jeff Cook May You Forver Rest In Peace! Thank you Jeff for sharing your love of country music with your cousins Randy and Teddy as well as Mark Herndon. Thank you Jeff music and the memories. After 40+ years Randy is my forever crush.... ANGELA
Agree with you on Alabama. They are a group I've advocated for a few years RRHOF. You might have seen one of my posts. Millions of albums sold. Band of the Decade 80's. I think Alabama is deserving as they did have Folk, Southern Rock, and Gospel with their Country Songs. Incredible songs...Love In The First Degree, Mountain Music, Song Of The South, etc. They also had a wide net audience of young and old. Poor and rich. I remember my Grandma had a few Alabama cassettes and 1 big 78 on the stereo. She was not a big fan of the rock or metal music. Was surprised to see the Alabama music there. The 40 #1 Hits is impressive.

Lets not forget that they had more consecutive number one hits (21) then anyone in music history ( any genre of music, including the Beatles, Elvis and Michael Jackson). They changed the face of country music and had many cross-over hits!
