This is a tough one Wilson Phillips basically came about from all three of them growing up together coming from legendary families (John & Michelle Phillips) and of course Brian Wilson sure they made good music back in the early 90,s but I don,t think they would get in the hall by lineage.

Aw man, I heard "Hold On" on the radio this morning for the first time in years. I loved that song back in the day. Listening to it today, I realized how overproduced it is, but the girls' harmonies were still great. They had the potential to be the female CS&N, but instead they had one big album and disappeared. Oh well, I guess for every group that lives up to its potential and becomes great, there's 99 that don't.

The fat chick from Wilson Philips, Carney Wilson, looks like the fat chick from The Mamas and the Papas. I surprised they are not mother and daughter.

Roy, that comment regarding Mama Cass and the woman from Wilson Philips (don't recall her name) sounds inconceivably unRoyish of you! Apologies please!!

Sorry. Are they related though?

Carnie Wilson looks like Cass Elliot of The Mamas and the Papas, but Cass Elliot is not her mother.

Wilson Phillips may have only had one number one song, but they are far from a "one hit wonder"! They still tour extensively and can still hit all the notes. Their harmonies are tight and pure, and the crowds love them. A big YES vote from me!!!

They actually had 3 #1's. "Hold On", "Release Me" and "You're In Love." "Impulsive" hit number 3 and "The Dream is Still Alive" went to #12.
