Vangelis is a one-hit wonder. His one hit was "Chariots Of Fire."

May Vangelis rest in peace. :'-(

"Well now we're up to the big hit by a recent Oscar winner who lives in England and will soon be coming to the USA, he's planning to cross the Atlantic in an ocean liner but not because he loves big boats, it's because he suffers from a common fear called, altophobia, in plain english, fear of flying, it's a fear this man shares with many people, including celebrities like, Muhammad Ali, author Isaac Asimov, Sammy Davis Jr, David Bowie, Academy Award winning actress Maureen Stapleton and John Madden coach of the Oakland Raiders, all have spent their lives traveling abroad by boat, and traveling around America by train or bus, in fact not only does singer and actor David Bowie refuse to travel by plane he also has a phobia about heights, and he refuses to stay above the 3rd floor in a hotel or to even ride in an elevator, the man in this week's countdown limits his phobia to just fear of flying, and he says it hasn't affected his life too much because he prefers to spend most of his time in his studio anyway, in our countdown this week here's Vangelis with his recent #1 record, the Academy Award winning theme from, Chariots of Fire..." - Casey Kasem's American Top 40 - The 80's from May 22nd, 1982

PS-It was also used a year after this in National Lampoon's Vacation!

Please name this 80s movie if you remember...

The cover of the VHS tape/poster had two white people in grey suits carrying briefcases and standing in water. Maybe it was a river. I think it was a short woman and a taller man.

Quem acha que Vangelis só compôs o tema de "Carruagens de Fogo" precisa se informar.
