I loved their music, but they weren't well known enough to make the Hall. The Canadian Rock Hall (which I understand really exists), maybe.

Triumph never achieved the commercial success of some of their contemporaries, but the quality of their musicianship and the contributions of guitarist Rik Emmett cannot be overlooked. They should definitely be nominated.

As much as I love their music, I'll be the first to admit: There are too many in line in front of them for Triumph to make the hall--or even be officially considered, much less nominated.

They should induct Triumph and Rush in the same year and watch the hard core Canadians argue about who's better for years to come.

I like Rik Emmett's playing, and though I don't know if they're HOF material, I'll admit they've done some good stuff.

Triumph were a great band, but I don't think they have any influence or innovation. They're in the Canadian Music HoF, so I think that's good enough.

Too me, they were the true Caerenadian power trio. They hit big with Allied Forces. Great musianship and vocals. They had a different writing style. I dont think anyone could point to a Triumph song and say they were trying for a hit. Serious playing ability and talent but not HOF worthy.

Triumph had some powerful songs & good sound.I agree with the other posters that they didn't have enough commercial success & there are too many bands in front of Triumph. It's one of those cases where not every band can sneak into the RRHOF. KING
