Tom Tom Club's only major hit was "Genius Of Love". They were essentially an offshoot of the Talking Heads, with drummer Chris Frantz and bass/keyboard player Tina Weymouth being the group's principals. I don't know if Tom Tom Club continued after Talking Heads' cemise.

Saw them play the other night in Lexington. They opened for Psycedelic Furs (should have been the other way around, IMO). Tina & Chris were in fine form. One of Tina's sisters was also playing with them. They did all their hits & then did 'Take Me to the River' & 'Psycho Killer' to finish up. Great versions of both Head's songs. The band was rocking, and the man who played the latin precussion section kicked serious booty.

After the set, they were signing stuff & meeting fans. I congratulated them & told Chris & Tina that the next time they saw/spoke to Dave to tell him 'We don't need you to sing your fu*king songs'. They both laughed & Tina shook my hand. She still looks fine. Chris' hair is all grey now. One off the Bucket List, I guess.
