Matt Johnson was always a highly innovative musician, but his act never achieved audiences big enough to justify a spot. Unfortunately.

No, but at least they're getting some airplay on television with M&Ms using "This Is The Day." I did see them open for Depeche Mode years ago and they were fantastic. Also, Matt Johnson's redo of Hank Williams' music was really cool.

Dameon...do you recall this group? While I was at the health club today, I heard "Uncertain Smile". I thought that was a pretty good song.

Not a bad band. I'm not suggesting induction, but I liked their sound. Your thoughts?

I do remember them well, but it has been a long time since I have pulled out their records. Still love my vinyl.

The band is good. The name not so much.

Quite a bit of their catalogue is worth checking out.

Matt Johnson is an underrated songwriter. Throw your opinions here, people!!

I can't see this band ever getting into the HoF since they're such a cult act, which is a shame since Johnson is one of the greatest songwriters I've ever heard

I think Matt Johnson is a musical genius. Love Is Stronger Than Death so beautiful and powerful. Dogs of Lust a masterpiece. The Dusk album one of the best of the 1990's. Enjoyed the Hank Williams songs remade in The The fashion. I have high standards RRHOF but I would put The The in. Very innovative & influential as well as pioneering in use of different video media and social media to connect with music fans and the masses. KING
