Only one album released, and it's no doubt some of the most bizarre music you'll ever hear, but these girls were undeniably unique and fresh for their day and age. Also, their philosophical (albeit naÔve) lyrics are quite charming. Probably not hall-worthy, but definitely noteworthy.

Well, Kurt Cobain liked them (and Frank Zappa too as a matter of fact)

The Shaggs released two albums Philosophy of the World. and "The Shaggs Own Thing" which had songs from "Philosphy" as well as other original songs. I have them both on vinyl and Philosophy was also released on CD. Their music is unique and really exhibits no outside influences that I can fathom. It's simply amazing to listen to. Based on some of the other choices the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has made there is no reason not to select them.

Security Question:

Which letter is Springsteen's band named after?
