I actually e-mailed the creaters of the website, asking, why no Ocean Blue listed? Just received an e-mail that they have been added. I really enjoy the sound of this band. Not sure how to categorize them nor am I sure that they are hall material. But, they have a pretty unique sound, although you can definitely hear the Smiths in there. What do you all think???

Hey, no Ocean Blue fans out there? - even this Rushboy really diggs them.

Actually, I think that:

Echo & the Bunnymen > The Ocean Blue

I was actually thinking that "Between Something And Nothing" sounds a lot like Echo and the Bunnymen...

SpaceTrucker...this is a video by The Ocean Blue. They weren't much more than high school age at the time, I think...

Sam...here's a band you should listen to...they were signed while in high school in the mid 80's and were heavily influenced by Echo & the Bunnymen, The Smiths, New Order, etc... and really weren't too bad. A song I'd recommend would be "Between Something & Nothing"...

An excellent group, you can definitely hear the aforementioned Echo & the Bunnymen/Smiths/New Order in them. They were also influenced by the Cocteau Twins.

I also suggest checking out "Cerulean." That's a personal favorite though.

I saw them open up for the Psychelic Furs and the hooked me. Very good. But not Hall worthy.
