The Misfits should definitely get in if Metallica gets in, since Cliff Burton was their biggest fan and all.

I don't know how this can even be considered a "hall of fame" without the misfits, i mean where would punk and metal be without this band? nowhere, actual disgrace that they aren't in there yet

I love the Misfits, have been a fan for years but come on people. There are only three punk bands in the HOF (Clash, Pistols, Ramones). As much as I love the Mifists they are not getting in.

The Stooges and New York Dolls aren't even in. They completly changed/kickstarted and they entire genre of punk.

I saw the Misfits Friday night at the Warsaw in Brooklyn. It was an interesting audience mix; 6 - 60. I am not sure I would have brought the 6 y.o. The were pretty tight and played a good set of their music while throwing in a couple of Blag Flag tunes. Considering I had last seen them around 1981, I didn't go into the show with too many expectations and I walked away quite pleased.

Rock and Roll is immortal! Although it would seem that a 55 Y.O. punk rocker would look silly onstage singing about those things that were relevant in the late 70's, early 80's; they didn't.

I don't believe the Hardcore Era will ever be acknowledged by the HoF and that is sad.

I'm friends with Mr. Jim of the Misfits (one of the band's first drummers) and he said that their coffin boxed set recently went gold. They should definitely be inducted.

Don't know why, but I never really got into the Misfits.

The Misfits have given their blood, guts, bones and hearts for over thirty years. They deserve acknoweldgement for their importance in rock and roll history of horror punk.

Like The Misfits may not be in the hall? They inspired many rock bands like Metallica and Guns. They are an amazing band, please reconsider the Misfits!

Yeah, I'd support an induction for the Misfits.

If they'd let it rest when Glenn Danzig did, I think they'd been taken seriously. Instead, they've been second rate Green Day in make-up for a couple decades which has cheapened them irreparably. See also: the Damned, one of the top five most important punk bands ever. When they were.

For the fact that the reunion shows were an over whelming sucess alone proves the impact that they have had on the face of Rock music. They deffinetly belong in the Hall of fame.
