I'm pretty sick of Pete Doherty. i don't think they'll make it.

This band has the best chance from this class? What the hell...I never even heard of them yet.

My opinions aside, personal ignorance is not an excuse. Try Google. Try AMG. Educate yourself before you make a decision.

hmmm. odd one, really

certainly in possession of the rocknroll 'image'.

Honestly, after a year of searching, this guys haven't done anything noteworthy. You don't hear anything about them in the States. And unless we see tons of bands citing them as a major influence in the 2020s, no chance at all, what so ever.

There's already been a slew of brit-pop bands citing them as an influence, you dumbo. I don't happen to think it's big enough to make the Libs deserving, but there's no knowing how big it will be.

Evidently, you can't do in a whole year what I did in under an hour.

The Rock and roll 'image' definitely

happen to be my favorite band ever...

i'd like to say yes
depends on whether they reform I suppose
and the public perception of Pete in the next few years, ie. whether he does anything mentionable solo-wise

In terms of Indie/post-punk you're talking Libs and arctic monkeys thrown around as big influences of the next wave in about 2 decades yeah? that gives them a shot

Up the Bracket was fantastic. They certainly gave British music a shot in the arm and are credited with bringing indie back down to earth, so maybe right now. Let's see what happens if they decide to come back.

Well, Pete's been arrested on suspicion of supplying the dope that killed that heiress. If it goes any further with him involved then it'll delay a reunion even further, and if there's not a reunion there's no way they get in, as they need to break the US to have any chance. There's no way it'll happen anyhow if he can't keep clean.

Well, they've gotten back together and done a "guerilla gig", and they're going to do the Reading and Leeds Festivals, and they're thinking about writing new material. If they can stay together and do new albums (pending Pete's legal problems), they could have a real opportunity on their hands.

The Libertines are interesting, but 37% induction chances? Maybe 17% but 37%? Isn't a bit early to give them more than a 1 in 3 chance that they'll be inducted in 2028?
