So many "No" votes? They deserve better than that!!

Weren't they some 1 hit band from Pittsburgh, PA that took the bus to NY, recorded their song and then then took the next bus
back 4 hours later?

This is what happens when obscure bands with no shot whatsoever are put on the lists. If anybody votes at all, it's likely to be a no.

Yeah one of the worst things on this site is people voting "no" on bands they've never heard of. This doesn't necessarily apply to The Jaggerz but there are some very talented artists on this site who have a large % of "no" votes for that very reason. If I come across a band I've never heard of, I either don't vote or if they interest me for whatever reason I find out more about that band, listen to some of their music and then vote. Maybe a third of the people who voted "no" for The Jaggerz would have voted "yes" if they actually knew who the Jaggerz were. Who knows.

Donnie Iris, who was a guitarist for the Jaggerz and wrote "The Rapper", went on to play with Wild Cherry (Play That Funky Music)...there's some very exciting Jaggerz trivia for ya...!!!

I'm not quite sure what's more astounding - the fact that there are actually five posts on this page, or that you could really find a piece of trivia based around these guys!

For the record, I do know who the Jaggerz are. It IS stunning that these gents have a page here.

Cheesecrop...I am a true connoisseur of useless information. Also, why don't we rename that list "Most memorable guitar riffs"? "Greatwst" is way too subjective, they're certainly not on my list!

"Greatest"...sorry, gotta proofread!!!

The Rapper was a fairly big hit. I have the 45 single.

Darn, they've got the lowest fan approval again, that (dis)honour should only be bestowed upon Jessica Simpson!

I noticed something funny here on this page. I decided to vote Yes for the band, & when I did so, the suggestion was made that I next move to a page devoted to a band called the Liars.

Is this meant to be a hidden message for anyone who voted YES for this band? Like, do you REALLY think they have a shot?

I'm on a terrible guilt trip here...

Cheesecrop, I just did the same thing and was asked to vote on Clay Aiken next.....Hmmmmm. I wonder what that could mean?

Having had a father in The Jaggerz, I can honestly say I KNOW these guys. And no the idea of a spot in the RRHOF is not likely.
First off the group was a white R&B group who gained notariety as an electric live act known for not only their choreographed moves and mic tosses but their rediculous tight harmonies.
The Rapper came at a point of transition for the group. Donnie Iris himself even called it a 'double-edged sword'. But they got to experience the mainstream of celebrity in the late 60s and 70s wh/ included partying with the who's who in music at the time.
The Jaggerz are in the PA Music Hall of Fame. With all that said. I'll take it!

They were better than the Hollys; I will vote yes just for laughs. They were a harmless (and pretty good) white R&B-flavored pop band who had one monster hit, "The Rapper."

Was their name inspired by Mick Jagger?
