You know, I'll come right out and say it - I once contacted the Site Administrator and asked for Right Said Fred to have a page on this site. I heard "I'm Too Sexy" a couple months ago, and it wouldn't leave my head for a few days.

The reason I say this is that Right Said Fred still has no page on this site, but the Durutti Column does. Just who exactly ARE the Durutti Column? It sounds like a spy orginization.

Are these the people Warren Beatty tried to investigate in the Parallax View?

You wanted a page for Right Said Fred? It's already bad enough that we have a page for Wang Chung

But at least we don't have a page for Color Me Badd

To answer Cheesecrop's question, the Durutti Column aren't a spy organization but a band who formed in Manchester in 1978. I guess who can call them "post-punk" if you want but you wouldn't be incorrect in labelling them "art" rock either. If you want to know more, check out their instrumental "Sketch for Summer," produced by Martin Hannett (yes, the same guy who worked with Joy Division) is probably one of their better known tracks.

And no, they're probably not Hall of Fame worthy.

I always these guys being name-dropped by people who know more about music than I do. Or maybe I'm confusing them with Pizzicato Five. They both sound pretty Italian, but I don't think either of them are Italian.

I really don't know anything about music at all.
