Amazing musicians, superb songwriting on the first six albums. Also great arrangeme ts and live stage presence. No other band ever mixed funk and jazz so well. Absolutely belong in.

Play That Funky Music White Boy was not by the Average White Band, it was by Wild Cherry.

Absolutely. Crisp funky/soul band and had MANY songs that defined them much more than Pick Up The Pieces or Cut The Cake. Like NWA said...Rock and Roll is Spirit!!

Rest in Peace Malcolm "Molly" Duncan, 1945-2019.

I believe they should be their, because their music style was a upbeat style that everyone love, you could either dance to it or just sit alone and just listen to the words, that reaches deep down in your soul

This was a band that crossed so many genres of music pop, rock, soul and even jazz. The vocal styling, their unforgettable sound. Very few groups have been to cross as many musical lines as thus group. Not to mention the distinct sound of the bands sax...put them in!

Travesty that they haven't been inducted into The Hall of Fame. But if you knew how they operate you wouldn't be surprised

Not only does AWB deserve to be in the hall, without them the hall is less. Their music and vocals crossed musical lines and racial lines as well.

Surprised that they're not already in there. Superb band lyrically, musically & vocally. This world has music indeed, but it seems some people aren't listening!

Being a young black American, I bought my first AWB album in 74 (white album) and I was truly shocked that these white soul brothers from
Scotland was this good. I then purchase every album until they broke up.
