Great sunshine pop of the sixties. Fantastic vocal group. Just as good or better than any motown group.

They had 20, yes 20, top 40 hits! Plus, they had 5 albums that went Gold. Plus, they had some #1 hits (Age of Aquarius, Up, Up, and Away). They have probably sold more records than most of the groups in the HOF.

Just ridiculous that this classy, influential, multi-genre hopping group is not given the respect they deserve. The good old fascist R&R HOF has the balls to include Janet Jackson and not the 5th Dimension. Winners of Record if the Year for both 1967 and 1969. 7 gold albums, 5 gold and platinum singles. The sublime album The Magic Garden. Bringing the genius of Laura Nyro and Jim Webb to the forefront. Ludicrous, but then again, what do Dolly Parton, Carole King, Pat Benatar, Diana Ross, the 5th Dimension, the Marvelettes, Petula Clark, Carly Simon, Peter Paul & Mary, Dionne Warwick, Cher, Connie Francis, Mary Wells, Nancy Sinatra, Roberta Flack, have in common?

It's a disgrace there's a lot of other groups they don't even come close to the fifth dimension they had some of the best harmonies ever recorded Marilyn McCoo without a doubt was one of the best voices of all time! Very few Singing groups sounded as great as they did even singing live on TV shows the real deal! No mimic!

Here's a band that constantly goes unmentioned and highly overlooked, but has some of the necessary credentials to warrant them a nomination, and checks off on a few boxes. I just remember them being pretty huge for a few years when I was a kid. Maybe their career as a band was too short lived, but it did not seem like it at the time. Still, they are worthy for consideration, and I feel they do belong in the discussion, as it pertains to great, late 60's, early 70's Pop/Soul groups.. Any thoughts?

The 5th Dimension were a genre unto themselves. They should be inducted while they are still alive.

This is a Sad joke! What a disgrace! Very few groups were in the fifth dimension League! Incredible harmonies! Perform live on many TV shows where other Reformers just mimicked! So many great songs in the late 60s and 70s how can you call it a Hall of Fame and not include this group! Makes you scratch your head! This is BS!

Just their "Age of Aquarius" album alone should have put them in the Hall of Fame!!! They were the Heart

Was watching the Summer of Soul movie and man, Marilyn was (as that guy said) just about the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. I was 10 in 1969. Different times back then...

I now think they belong. To me, only thing holding them back is lack of longevity & some rockers think they're a bit square. I'm fine with them all day. They were a dominant group for a couple years.

you keep leaving out the voice of Florence La Rue with a voice of depth, its not just about voice range and the voice was just under 4 Octaves.....its about the the quality within a note and Billy Davis, the soul of the man, and the founder Ron and his history and Ron with that voice range, how can they not be in.........there was no better group of harmonized voices ever
