Syd Barrett is in with Pink Floyd. He's going to have a hard time getting in solo considering he only had those two albums in the early 70's

No Syd's solo work is not Hall of Fame worthy, but there were certainly some interesting and underrated songs during his stay in Pink Floyd.

At the risk of paraphrasing what has already been said here I'll just add that I enjoy the Madcap Laughs but no, Syd's solo output is not Hall of Fame worthy (sorry Syd)

No one would have rembered his career if it wasnt for Pink Floyd and even that doesnt get him very far

As we all know Elvis if the King of Rock & Roll, Michael is the King of Pop, Qzzy the Godfather of Heavy Metal. Logic then dictates that Sid Barret is the Godfather of Alternative Rock and there fore should be reognized as such. Pink Floyed would not have been with out him as Black Sabbath would not have been without The Oz. All the Alternative rock bands that made big after Pink Floyds success with or with out Sid: Yes, Genesis, ELP, Moody Blues, ect would not have been as accepted if it were not for Sid's creations during the birth of Floyd. So I thank Pink Anderson & Floyd Counsel (50's Blues greats) for infulencing Sid resulting in his creation of Pink Floyd and the birth of Alternative Rock.

He has been recognised, he was inducted with pink floyd. his solo work does not warrant induction.

Syd was FAR More ground Breaking than the rest of Floyd was after his leaving.
One was just a great band while the other was the founder of a new era.
