Syd was FAR More ground Breaking than the rest of Floyd was after his leaving.
One was just a great band while the other was the founder of a new era.

He was the strangest, most drug addicted, and darkest musician in the world. This is what made multiple genres like punk and heavy metal

He should be inducted, honestly looking at his works with pink floyd and how that developed into something otherworldly in his two solo albums it truly deserves to be inducted and to finally get the mainstream recognition that it deserved so much.

I think Syd Barrett should be inducted not specifically for his solo work - but as an "Early Influence" - his impact is felt throughout rock and alternative music of the '70s, '80s, and '90s.
