This is a joke, right? Like a roach trap - to see if any wackos emerge to cheer for Survivor??

The fact they will forever be known as the Rocky band doesn't do them justice. High on You, The Search Is Over, Is This Love, and I Can't Hold Back were all great songs that weren't on a Rocky soundtrack.

Ho hum at best. No great loss if they don't make it.

Can one song (Eye of the Tiger(obviously)) be elected?

Survivor, glam? Wrong.

Whatever the hell they are, I don't care. I know one song, like most people, and it sounds like glam to me, whatever. The point is that the lead singer is a real man of genius.

Eye Of The Tiger is a ripoff of Alan Parsons Project's I Wouldn't Want to Be Like You.

Isn't "glam" more of a visual thing...?

I do agree that those bud light "real men of genius" commercials a pretty funny...

No. Of absolutely no importance, and the couple of hits they did have weren't all that good anyhow.

Unfortunately, this band is more likely to be remembered for the (first) lead singer's participation in the Bud Light "Real Men of Genius" radio commercials. Survivor itself is basicly just another pop/rock band.

Survivor should be inducted -- most certainly Jim Peterik deserves to be in! He has written more rock songs for various bands than almost anyone out there!!! He wrote or co-wrote most of Survivor's hits; quite a few of 38 Special hits including "Hold on Loosely;" not to mention his work with the Ides of March -- most notably "Vehicle!" Oh, and he can sing all the lead vocals as well! I had not idea and play most instruments! I only knew him as Survivor's keyboard player and from Ides.

Say what you will, at the end of the day there was no bigger band than Survivor in the eighties. They wrote all their own material and played their own instruments and weren't studio creations. Can't say that for a LOT of artist already inducted.

Survivor is another good band that won't make the RRHOF.The Survivor hits of the 80's was impressive:The massive hit Eye Of The Tiger,Burning Heart,High on You,I Can't Hold Back,& the underrated classic ballad The Search Is Over.
