A bunch of inspired and energetic kids grow up to be a bunch of inspired and capable adults. Very good at blending influences into something wholly new, but unfortunately not enough influence yet, although with four good albums out of five and another decade to go, they still have time to make their mark.

Definitely better than Oasis.

Actually, I take it back - Supergrass were, and are, a superb guitar pop group.

"Very good at blending influences into something wholly new" - William

True, but can you really imagine the Rock Hall seeing it like that? What will most likely happen (if they actually even CONSIDER Supergrass) is that the Rock Hall won't be able to see past the obvious comparisons to the likes of the Buzzcocks, Bowie and the Beatles, and simply label them as "another pop group".

"not enough influence yet"

Well, I can definitely hear them in alot of UK music: mainstream alternative pop acts, like the Kaiser Chiefs, Fratellis etc, but unless one of them makes it big in the USA, or unless the Killers start raving about them, it won't count for much.

Still unsure about the new album...

Superb pop band, they recently broke up. Doubt the hall will recognize their influence, however.

Agreed, Liam. "I Should Coco" is one of the better albums of the 90s. If that really is you Liam, good to have you back.
