I'm a Forbert fan, but he's not a Hall of Famer. He did make some good albums, though (Alive On Arrival, Streets of This Town, The American In Me).

Steve Forbert should absolutly by inducted. He is one of the best singer/song writers to come along since Dylan. Years from now his music will still inspire and be uplifting. The R&R Hall of Fame can not ignore Mr. Forberts influence on younger artist and his never ending desire to entertain. 30 YEARS AND STILL WAITING, COME ON R&R HALL OF FAME DO THE RIGHT THING.

Played Cyndi Lauper's boyfriend in the music video for Girls Just Want To Have Fun.

Steve Frobert certainly deserves to be in the R&R Hall Of Fame. His songs are some of the best examples of folk rock. He has already been nominated for a grammy for his album of Jimmie Rogers songs a few years ago. Unfortunately, the reason that may performers are nominated is because they go along with Jan Wenner and certain promoters who make big money on the concert tour that is kicked off with these "winners." As usual in the big music biz, its a money thing.

Steve Forbert deserves to be in the R&R Hall of Fame. He has been a master lyricist and songwriter for decades. He is a tireless troubador, constantly going out on the road and sharing his music. His legion of followers are truly lucky to have his music/songs in their lives. Unfortunately, he flies under most peoples radar and has not been recognized or even heard of by many.

Pretty good, but not as good as he thinks he is.
