Yes Status Quo are a great band and should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. If Bruce Springsteen made it anyone should be able to make it. Even if Springsteen's music was good I wouldn't like it.

The quo most surely should be in the rock,n,roll hall of fame for theyre tireless didication to british rock through the past decades...they are along with the Who the most iconic ispirational rock band in Britain and loved by our nation.

Of course they should be there. Generations of non-Yanks love them which in itself is a good enough reason. Just because cluelss Seppos don't get them doesn't mean they aren't worthy.

Those yokels dissing Quo are talking out of their Butt...... Wouldnt know a piledriver if it grew fangs and bit them on the arse....
Rick an arsehole....??... bull, one of the most decent and funny blokes in rock.....

StatusQuo
The most underestimated group of all times.
Simple as that.
-In 2009, Rick and Francis were recognised for their services to Music and Charity by the award of an OBE in the New Year Honours List
-In 1985 QUO opened Live Aid with the song which was to become the event's anthem 'Rockin' All Over The World'.
-QUO have spent in excess of seven and a half years (415 weeks) in the British Singles Chart - the eleventh highest ever.
-STATUS QUO'S total world-wide record sales exceed 118 million units. (really, who bought those albums , noone ??)
be serious mates !!!!

Quo s popularity in Europe was massive from 1972 until 1986. They had more than 40 hits in the UK but also many rockhits in Europe. In Holland, where I live, their hits What ever you want, down down , etc are well known. They sold millions of records. People put them down as simple or stupid. Before they turned into Spinal Tap, around 1983, they where a top arse kicking rockband. But if you didn't make in the USA, you can't come in to the rock n roll hall of fame. That hall of fame is all politics. F*** them

These guys are real rock and roll. But the rrhof hasn't been about rock and roll for awhile. Just look at the sh*t that gets in: madonna, radiohead, and a bunch of rap artists. Even though I think they deserve it, I don't think they will be inducted.

Something is seriously wrong when a band like this, who have achieved what they have achieved, are not present in the Rock'n'Roll hall of fame. Seriously wrong.

I love status quo! Just fun to listen to. Who doesn't like cranking up the volume to don't think it matters! Blam! In your face! All hail the quo! Hall of fame!

-Status Quo + 120 million records
-Status Quo had 43 hit albums (27 studio albums of new material, 11 compilations, 5 live albums) in the British Albums Chart; more than any other band apart from The Rolling Stones
-Status Quo have made 106 appearances on BBC TV's 'Top of the Pops' - More than any other group
-Status Quo (Rick and Francis) were recognised for their services to Music and Charity by the award of an OBE in the New Year Honours List
-Status Quo - The 2014 album gave the band a number five UK hit, their highest for 18 years, was certified Gold and saw them notch up their 500th week in the Album charts!

and they dont deserve participating at RnR HoF ????
are you serious ??????????

First of all, can I ask that we all keep the comments civilised?
2nd of all, Status Quo supporters already know who the best and greatest Rock Band of all time is.
No, it's not Spinal Tap...LOL!!

According to the long interview with ALAN LANCASTER, he told us that American Record Co. executives tried to extort massive amounts of $$ from them to pay off people's mortgages and other expenses.
Radio Stations came up with the most outrageous and bizarre reasons not to play QUO's songs.

The real reason is that Status Quo were and are a trillion times better than Grand Funk Railroad and Lynyrd Skynyrd and Aerosmith and Journey and The Grateful Dead ( Boring ) The Allman Brothers etc.
Therefore, if Status Quo were to receive high exposure on air and in the media, (after all, they were very handsome young men,) then they would've put all the ordinary American Bands in the shade and in the corner.

All of those ordinary American Bands wouldn't have sold as many records or been as popular with a superior product on the scene.
The superior product being STATUS QUO.
Which means that the Record Company executives wouldn't have made as much money from the American Bands.
The financial irony is that they would've made more $$ from STATUS QUO.
That's cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Status Quo were the first Rock Band to perform with a full Philharmonic Orchestra, many years before other Bands copied their idea.
The biased American media only report the American " Johnny Come Latelies " like KISS and Metallica.
KISS even stole " The End of the Road " name from QUO's 1984 Concerts.
Status Quo are the pioneers and ground breakers in so many fields of activities.
QUO supporters will always remember the day our Rock Legends played 3 Concerts in 3 different cities in 24 hours to raise money for Charity.
They are called THE MIGHTY QUO for many reasons, not just their superior music.

Being a supporter of the Greatest Rock Band in history, it's very hard to type all this with tears coming from my eyes.
There is no more passionate fan than a QUO fan.

As a post-disclaimer, I and other QUO fans do love Bands like Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, Bachman Turner Overdrive, there are many more of course.
QUO do a good version of Get Out of Denver ( Baby ) and a bloody great version of Takin' Care of Business.
Some QUO fans, like me, have a diverse and eclectic taste in music.

The best thing to happen in music history was PUNK / POST-PUNK / NEW WAVE from mid 70's - mid 80's.
When I first heard DEVO, B-52s, THE CURE I was hearing 3 of my fave Bands. Then there is
JOY DIVISION, TALKING HEADS, ELVIS COSTELLO, GANG of FOUR, THE FALL, THE JAM, JAPAN, TELEVISION, BLONDIE, THE POLICE, ECH & THE BUNNYMEN, MAGAZINE, DEPECHE MODE, BUZZCOCKS, RAMONES, HUMAN LEAGUE ( before & after the girls joined ) TRAVELOGUE & REPRODUCTION are two of the best electronic albums ever made, then members left to form HEAVEN 17 ( PENTHOUSE & PAVEMENT )
SEX PISTOLS, NEW ORDER, Siouxsie and the Banshees, THE PRETENDERS ( 1ST TWO ALBUMS )
MADNESS, THE SPECIALS, SIMPLE MINDS, SQUEEZE, XTC, and in Australia there was a plethora of Bands & Artists that I enjoyed LIVE & in my bedroom with headphones on...........
Check out THE CELIBATE RIFLES & LIME SPIDERS or v SPY v SPY, DIVINYLS, THE SAINTS,
THE SCIENTISTS, SCREAMING TRIBESMAN, ALLNITERS, COLD CHISEL, MIDNIGHT OIL,
HOODOO GURUS, MACHINATIONS, THE RADIATORS, THE GO -BETWEENS, the list goes on.......

All the time knowing that I had THE MIGHTY QUO albums in chronological order ready to play when I was feeling sad or melancholy.

When I play my Kit, I smash the hell out of it to " Nightride "
I've broken a few sticks belting the life out of the High Hat.

LONG LIVE THE QUO!!!!!!!!!!

Nobody and Nothing comes close to the Greatest Rock Band in history.
RIP Rick ' Reg ' Parfitt-The greatest Rhythm Guitarist in music history, not a bad singer either.
RIP Alan ' Nuff ' Lancaster-The greatest!!!!!! Bass player & Hard Rockin' nice guy, powerhouse vocals.
