The man has played for over 40 years with loyal audiences in the US & Europe. SSJ is always willing to appear on behalf of charities and donate his time to worthy causes. He is a true Rock historian and respectful of those who paved the way for him. He is a credit to the industry and deserves to be considered.

Its a joke that southside in not in. One of the best live rock show i ever saw and i wasnt a fan going in. Blew me away n ive seen them all live only bruce, tina james brown on same level live!!!!

Not likely to happen in this lifetime, but Johnny has given back much more than he has taken form the Rock and roll community. An early writing-partner and Jersey Shoreline pal of The Boss (Little Steven was in SSJ's Asbury Jukes before he was a member of Springsteen's E Street Band), Johnny always placed quality and love of the past music his calling card,, He frequently included legends like Ronnie Spector and Lee Dorsey to his early recordings. The band was always tight and on key. If there is a rock and roll hall of fame for my favs, Southside will always have a place in my most fondly remembered performers. It's a yes from me.

SSJ absolutely deserves to be inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame. This artist gives his all at every live performance I have ever seen him out. He has been performing live for over 40 years. Little Steve and Bruce should push to have him inducted. He most definitely deserves to be one of the greats in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I can not believe Southside Johnny has not been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Southside is a long time rocker, with and epic history.Often associated with Springsteen as an NJ icon, Southside stands on his own with his bluesy voice and many songs! Southside rocks and needs to be recognized for his decades of work!

They came on my radar around 1979 an their music an live performances are the best. Rhythm blues, soul, rock an roll, blues. All very tight an the horn sections such a bonus. It's time

I have seen the amazing Mr. Lyon and the Jukes 58 times. When I see his show it literally is a religious experience for me. He needs to be properly recognized by being in the hall.

Yes, Southside belongs in the Hall of Fame!! What a performer, and musician. I have seen him countless times over the years & he always has a great show!!! Boycott the Hall until SSJ has been inducted!!!

Such praise is ALL that should be necessary for induction of Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes … otherwise, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a fkin JOKE …

Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes without a doubt should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He's a #1 go to when you need a R&B fix. I go back to watching his videos time and again over decades because of that amazing voice, and because there are few performers who give it their all on stage the way Johnny and the Jukes do! He's New Jersey's treasure, but thank you from us "outsiders" who have been lucky enough to experience his music!!
