Saw him live last year and had a blast. Hes a very talented singer and a decent pop song writer, though his tunes are all co written by at least one or two other people. His guitar skills are decent for a modern pop star and he can throw down a basic solo pretty well, but he definitely needs to improve or his music career is going to stagnate. Hes still young at only 22, but he has been around for over 5 years now with 3 albums, all decent, all platinum selling.

I think if hes going to have any chance of making it into the hall he is going to need to mature his sound a lot. 'In My Blood' was a good start, but since then, his singles have only gotten less pop rock influenced and more straight pop. His last single 'Wonder' had no guitar that I could here, but it has been doing quiet well on the charts and financially.

Im going to go with: no he doesnt get in. I think his career is going to continue for the next few years, maybe stay in the pop light for another 2 albums or so but stagnate on his sound and style.
