I really was amazed by this story...and by all accounts she truly was a great performer. I'm not much into Tejano, but she did it and made it rock, which is quite an impact (kind of re-defined it, and Tejano is an old and respected genre, totally unique). I guess when she died, all of Mexico and Central America went into mourning...another account of some maniac cutting a promising life too short!

She's called "The Mexican Madonna". Not to mention that she's one of the most famous Latino artists, so even if she was more Tejano than rock, she deserves to be in the RRHOF.

Completely deserving. Unfortunately, it may be very difficult for her to get in due to the fact that she never made it to where she almost certainly would have been.

Technically, she should be eligible, this year actually. Selena y los Dinos released their first album (self-titled) in 1984.

First recording was circa 1982-84 so she should would been elgible earlier than this or if its mainstream than this, it is accurately correct

Selena's voice and music was absolutely beautiful. I love her music. Too bad we didn't get to see and hear what else she would have accomplished after age what, 22? Maybe there should be a catagory for artists cut down before or in their prime. Not talking about self destruction.
