i don't know dude, theyve been around longer than fall out boy, and even though theres a pop sound to them (and its become more poppier over the years) i think they (they=max bemis, the singer, and coby linder, the dummer) are really talented.
In defense of the genre was pretty weak, but ..Is a Real Boy is (at least in my opinion) something really creative and original. Top songs from it would be "An Orgy of Critics" and "Admit It!!!" As for influence or importance in rock history, i cant really say anything there (pun not intended), but i honestly think theyre one of the more impressive bands in the "scene" today and deserve much more credit (commercially, that is) than panic! at the disco, good charlotte, all time low, simple plan, etc...
