I say no. Mostly because of my personal taste. That and I don't see her being influential and/or impactive at all!

I just don't get it about her. She's just another singer/songwriter cookie cutter that's thrown in with Ingrid Michaelson, Suzanne Vega, Alanis, many others. But people buy her music anyway and go to her shows. This is where I question why people like her so much. Just the other day, she was nominated for Album of the Year. I don't even like her song 'Brave'. A 5-year old could have wrote that song.

Jason, I hate to say it, but people go for these cookie cutter female singer/songwriters because the songs they sing are want the pop-loving masses want to hear. If you listen to the radio these days, that's all you hear are cheesey three minute love songs because thier songs sell.

Personally, I'll take Joni Mitchell or Carly Simon over Sara Bareilles or Talyor Swift any day.

I would also say no to Sara should she ever get nominated for the Hall.

Sara Bareilles is so deep and doesn't make kidd bop songs. Brave is the most commercial song she has and even then its a self impowering song in being brave not trying to sell u a factory product or a drug.
