mrxyz beat me to it, but I always liked listening to some of their best songs when you are driving down road on a sunny day or sitting on the beach drinking a cold beer.

Probably not Hall worthy, though.

Wrong Paul. The group is Hall worthy.

I vote yes.

My girlfriend's ex-husband played sax for them for a while...go figure. They had some hits, but their label as "world's gratest garage band" is more than fitting...and garage bands don't get into the HOF>

Hey Gitarzan, there is NO Wikipedia entry for 'Sam Sham & the Pharoahs'. Maybe your girlfriend could post the initial writeup about them.

I wouldn't know enough about them to write one.

"garage bands don't get in the RRHOF" Really? When The Kinks started out they were considered a garage band. And they were inducted in 1990. The only bands to beat them to it were The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Who!!

I'd like to make a case for their song "Little Red Riding Hood"

I have to say that "I'd a wrote you a letter but I couldn't spell pbbt" is one of the greatest break up songs ever (and perhaps the funniest). And "That's bad, no that's good" is also hugely underrated.

Actually, the first band inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was the Coasters. Had Buddy Holly been inducted with the Crickets than they would have been the first.
