1988: The Flame by Cheap Trick (written by Bob Mitchell and Nick Graham)

Another night slowly closes in

I’m going crazy, I’m losing sleep

Wherever you go, I’ll be with you
Whatever you want, I’ll give it to you
Whenever you need someone to lay your heart and head upon
Remember after the fire, after all the rain
I will be the flame

1989: Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx

I slowly go and sing

Oh can’t you see it baby, you’ve got me going crazy

Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you

Richard Marx is an extraordinary songwriter, singer and producer who
continues to produce quality music decade after decade. He most certainly deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

Richard Marx wrote many .... many great songs in the 80's. The Caddy Shack movies alone should get him in. Everyone in the world enjoys his music to this day! Because of Spotify, we all can!!! He definitely belongs in that special group of artists. We are all lucky to live in these times of human existence :)
