Gotta say highly underrated band. Two classic rock radio staples:

Come and Get Your Love
Witch Queen of New Orleans

Neat mix of musical styles (60s rock, cajun, jazz guitar soloing) and the original drummer was pretty wicked.

Redbone should absolutely at least be nominated. They have sold 18 million records and have earned 2 American and numerous European gold records. Their music remains highly relevant today, combining the styles of blues, Cajun, American rock and rhythm and blues. They are the ONLY Native American band every to break the top 10.

Redbone absolutely belongs in the RRHF! They created the modern Swamp Rock genre with their classic, "Niki Hoeky," and were a significant cultural, political and musical force in America as rock's first Native America band. Please SIGN/SHARE the petion to get Redbone inducted: https://www.change.org/p/greg-harris-redbone-help-get-them-into-the-rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame.

Thanks!

I just signed the petition, altho I don't usually DO petitions. Pat & Lolly Vegas who founded Redbone have a compelling story and the "swamp rock" sound was their own. Talented guys. Yes, Redbone SHOULD get nominated.

BTW: Redbone not to be confused w/ Leon Redbone, thats a different artist.

Redbone belongs in the Rock and Roll hall of fame. Pat and Lolly Vegas have influenced many musicians and have come a long way from "The Avantis". Lolly's pitch perfect voice, the wonderful harmony from all four band members and their songs make them a Great Band! Thank you guys for the wonderful music the great memories.

Redbone absolutely belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Every time "Come and Get Your Love" comes up for play everyone over 45 talks about what a great song it is. So glad "Guardians of the Galaxy" brought it back so we can hear it on the radio again. I know I'm getting old when I'd rather turn on the 60's-70's music than listen to the majority of what's out there now. Do us all a favor and vote them in.

They really deserve to be in the hall of fame. So revolutionary and honestly we need more bands like this now. It's such a shame that Lolly had to pass the way he did. But we can honor him NOW. native people have been even more in danger now then they have been in a long time. And that's my culture. I absolutely believe we need to honor them by putting them in. What is the harm??? They had so many other songs. So one got very popular but there were so many other good songs that I bet would do very well if they had been released a lot of their music wasn't released. All I'm saying is please consider to just put them in they really deserve it.

REDBONE definitely should be in the RRHOF.. They have been eligible since 1996.. I can't understand what y'all are waiting on.. Y'all apparently think that REDBONE is a ONE HIT WONDER.. You should dig deeper into the history of each member, especially LOLLY AND PAT VEGAS.. It would have been nice if LOLLY and TONY BELLAMY were still with us.. PAT is still going strong at age 80.. Y'all should quit DOUBLE and TRIPLE DIPPING and induct people, who truly MADE A SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC, as well as other GENRES of music.. LOLLY VEGAS flew under the radar.. He wrote songs for a lot of people and he was very instrumental in helping others in the music industry.. REDBONE also has had several people in the band, who started their careers, at very young ages.. I wonder what rock, the people who select inductees, are hiding under.. Apparently y'all need to BONE UP on rock HISTORY.. As a friend of mine said, "LOLLY VEGAS WAS THE HARDEST WORKING MAN THAT HE EVER MET.. Do DEDICATION AND HARD WORK in the music industry count? Or is the SELECTION PROCESS purely based on MONETARY VALUE?
I think that the question of inducting REDBONE needs to be RECONSIDERED AND REEVALUATED..

Absolutely, RedBone, should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Ground breaking band in many ways. Come on guys, they've been inducted to the Native American Music Association Hall of Fame and the NY Smithsonian. What are you waiting for!

Redbone is way overdue to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. Pat and Lolly Vegas are the originators of the "swamp rock" sound, and they really did march to the beat of their own drum. They had the "King Kong Beat" drumming style of Pete DePoe, the innovative use of the Leslie amp to produce ear-catching lead guitar solos, and significant lyrics that are still so true today - nearly 50 years later. As noted before, they have been honored by the NY Smithsonian. Why not the RRHOF? Give credit, recognition and honor to Redbone, who are so deserving of this award.
Mahalo for your consideration.

Like Seals & Crofts, some of the great music of my youth created by these cats. Not really Hall material, but a great band. Would like to see them sometime, as they are still rocking!

I'm shocked that Redbone was Not in the Hall already! Absolutely they should be there. The only Native American Band to hit number 1. Still this song Come and Get Your Love is played in movies and aired all the time. It's a classic and makes me smile. Talented group give them their recognition!

Now that Wenger has been removed, perhaps Redbone can be entered in at long last. I would have thought that they'd be in years and years ago. And then I thought after 'Guardians of the Galaxy' they'd make it in for sure. And still, I'm hearing 'Come And Get Your Love' in advertising. Come on! Great band, great music. They more than deserve it!

Apologies, I meant Wenner (Jann Wenner).
