This is an almost no-brainer. Rancid transcended genres without getting too complicated. They combined ska, punk and rockabilly and totally owned the scene. Despite Tim Armstrong's raspy vocals (which still call to mind the early 70s British punk rockers), Rancid has an obvious penchant for songcrafting in a style all their own. Any other psychobilly or ska punk band should give due credit to Rancid.

I heard that one day every year Rancid gets to pretend it was them and not the Clash that are in the HOF. Sorry guys, too derivitave.

Who would forget their hits like "Time Bomb", "Ruby Soho" and "Salvation"? That's why I voted yes for this band.

I love Rancid, they definitely should enter the Hall of Fame.

I agree with the last two of you (Gary and Mike), no one could forget Rancid and because they were as popular as Green Day and The Offspring, they definitely deserve to be inducted into this.

I don't know too much about them, but Ruby Soho is surely a modern day classic. Covered by Jimmy Cliff.

Their first single was released in 1992. That makes them eligible this year.
