Poison belongs in the Hall of Fame, plain and simple..

Greg, while I agree with you that Poison should be in the Hall as they're a great band, we need to be aware that this website has no say in who gets in and who dosen't. It's still down to these rich musical snobs who gets in.

Poison won't make the RRHOF but they were better than given credit for. Every Rose Has It's Thorn one of the best power ballads of its day. Always enjoyed Brett Michaels singing voice. Poison realized rock n roll should be fun & their songs were catchy.

I'm glad that Poison were popular. Brett Michaels diabetes for a musician that young shed light on diabetes & awareness.Something most people don't realize. Never heard of anybody having diabetes before Brett.

Brett Michaels is always in the public eye. That might help Poison more than most groups who disappear after several years.

My FAV Poison songs were Something To Believe In,Look What The Cat Dragged In,Every Rose Has Its Thorn. KING

John Lennon, their lead singer, is already in the hall of fame.

Poison should be revisited for being inducted into the Rock& Roll Hall of Fame. They are one of the few acts that still tours. And front man Bret Michaels continues to tour as a solo act and with Poison and doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

Bret Michaels always makes it know that he is a Type 1 Diabetic since the age of 6 and continues to support various charities. Also promoting awareness to the world.

For mostly Bret & Poison, he continues to stay in the public eye. And always continues to Rock it hard & heavy!

I would love to see them inducted! Unfortunately the HOF is biased against 80s bands. Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Poison... and yet Madonna, Run-DMC, and Public Enemy are in even when they're obviously not even rock? And why aren't Journey, REO Speedwagon, Styx, Foreigner, Deep Purple, Boston, The Cars, Cheap Trick, and George Thorogood and The Destroyers in yet?

No, never. Poison sucks because they chose to suck. They were just like every other glam/hair metal band from LA during the 80s. Didn't make any impact at all and never influenced anyone--which is what the Rock H0F is all about.

Sure they partied, bagged groupies and indulged to excess--good for them, but really could these guys really play? They thought they were the Beatles for God sake. Pearl Jam's worst album is still so much better than any Poison album.

Poison may be together, but really, what new material have they released lately? They are just a nostalgia act, playing for those 4,000 fans, while Pearl Jam sells out Wrigley Field, Fenway Park or whatever else they decide to play.

As a 46 year old rocker that remembers the first rock song i ever heard/as a drummer of 24 years/as a guitar player of 14 years/and most importantly as a rock music fan that has over 1300 albums (not counting) the music I've heard over the past 40 years I can honestly say this and know it's more factual than just my opinion:

I've never met a fellow musician that says the band "poison" influenced them to pick up a musical instrument.

Hell no. God awful band. Thank goodness they'll probably never get in.

Poison were known for their big hair than they were for their music. They only had a few hits with their biggest hit being "Every Rose Has Its Thorn." Bret Michaels is more known for a reality show Rock Of Love or whatever it was. So Poison or Bret Michaels as a solo artist might not get nominated or inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Pearl Jam/Green Day/Nirvana were all mediocre alternative bands. I'd rather listen to Poison, damn Yankees, Slaughter, Skid Row, Great White, Winger, Warrant, Firehouse, Dream Theater, Motley Crue, Whitesnake and any other glam rock. That was the music me and my friends rocked out and partied to and danced to for years. Then Grunge ruined it all, so depressing. . Poison rocked. Look what the cat dragged in and Open up and say ahh are two of my favorite all time albums.

The members of Poison can all play well, and have all contributed great lyrics. The people who have digs at them dont appreciate the fun factor of this band. They wouldnt still be touring if they were as bad as some say. Seriously underestimated musicians who are well overdue RRHOF status.
