^Damn, that's a lot of certifications. However, I don't know if I'd count Death Of A Bachelor or Pray For The Wicked as Panic albums... I'd call them Brendon Urie albums and not count them.
If they are inducted, it will be interesting which lineup would be inducted. Maybe they'd just induct Brendon as a solo act, considering at this point Panic is a glorified solo project and has been for years.

IMO, Panic At The Disco should not get inducted before Fall Out Boy or My Chemical Romance. However, if they eventually do end up getting inducted, the question is, will they just induct Brendon Urie? After all, his career as a solo artist is more successful than they were as a band. They mostly achieved those certifications after High Hopes became a smash hit.

Definitely deserve, they are one of the most famous rock bands of the 21st century and their new music is even more famous than their old music.

Walty,

Ehhh. The way I feel about Panic! at the Disco is the same way I feel about Sheryl Crow. Like Sheryl Crow, the band (and I'm using the term extremely loosely) had some great songs, but their albums are a hit-or-miss. Out of all of the emo bands that came to prominence during my high school years in the mid to late '00s, Panic! just comes off as not being as excitable as My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, and Paramore. I think those three bands have a greater chance at induction than Panic!.

Posted by Elle Dee on Wednesday, 06/28/2023 @ 01:09am

They will eventually get in, probably not a shoo in though. FOB, MCR, and Paramore will get the honor first.
Unfortunately I think Brendon's solo career destroyed much of their legacy. If they disbanded officially when Spencer left Panic! would be a much more respected band.
IMO, they deserve to get in as their first two albums are 2000s rock/emo masterpieces and are incredibly influential. Ryan Ross was a lyrical genius on those albums and held the band together.
Their induction ceremony would probably be the only opportunity for a reunion unless a reunion tour happens within the next 10-20 years.
