Saw these guys the other night. Full house at Grand Theatre in Frankfort, KY. They are celebrating their 50th band anniversary. The 4 band members all look pretty good. The lead singer (Jeff Hanna) looks great. He is a real good looking dude anyway & I suspect he's had some surgery. His voice is still great, too!

Played all their hits & selected other songs (finished with a fine cover of 'The Weight'). Their great multi-instrumentalist (John Harlan Somebody), who looks a bit like old Obi Wan Kenobi, really impressed me with his mandolin, fiddle, banjo, guitar, and steel guitar work. Had a very funny story about playing a funeral for gentleman who voiced Mickey Mouse.

The band's drummer is also a great harmonica player & did what Sleater Kinney drummer did (play harmonica & drum at same time). Will note he wasn't really beating the hell out of the drums (like Steater Kinney drummer) when he did that, but impressive nevertheless.

Like alot of acts, these guys aren't getting any younger. If you have a chance to see them, I heartily endorse them.
