Frank Sinatra should go in as early influence. And he should be the only Sinatra in the Hall. In other words, no to Nancy.

I guess if you make one pop record in your life, you have to get on the "possible candidates" list. It's a joke I'm even commenting on Nacy for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!! LOL!

You who diss Nancy Sinatra are so wrong on so many levels. Do your research. Nancy had 21 charting records. Her first tv special, which see executive produced featured the first ever music videos-tho not in that form. Boots sold 4,000,ooocopies, which at that time meant only the Beatles out sold her. She has been nominated for 3 grammy's. Her 2004 album Nancy Sinatra was heralded by music critics with the best reviews of her career. All of this, plus she was a precurser to Madonna, Debby Harry and others who give her props for her influence. Give her credit!

Love Nancy! Love her warm mello voice- she is the epitome of cool and one of the best singers of the sixties or any decade. She is the real deal and not some generic no talent singer like young people worship today.

people who think nancy sinatra is not a worthy candidate for the hall of fame are dumbasses. just because she was not a screamer dosen"t mean she is not a talented rock singer and pop singer. if anything_ she paved the way for artists who performed in different genres because they were not limited in their vision. she was one of the first, if not the first pop_rock singer to do a successful cross over album to country, and in the process earned the respect of country artists.if you don't respect Nancy, go back into the anti-intellectual hole where all limited thinkers live!

Jon Bon Jovi seems to be very upset recently that the Hall hasn't inducted his band yet. I'd love to see the look on his face if they'd induct Nancy Sinatra before him!!! (Or the looks on the faces of the Kiss Army or the Rush Club if they chose Nancy over Kiss or Rush for that matter!!)

I'm not a big fan of the RRHOF. It's good they honor the obvious greats but they so often overlook the artists that influence or otherwise shape the genre. And that's where trying to label R&R just breaks down. I know Nancy would like for her and especially Lee Hazlewood to be inducted, and I agree, but this may be one of those instances where it's just cooler NOT to be part of it. Millions of us love you, Nancy.
