They rock. They deserve a much higher vote than that.

If you're gonna listen to pop, then it oughta be great pop - like these guys. Great melodies, fantastic hooks, catchy, catchy, catchy ass pop excellence. I should hate their songs after hearing them so many damn times over the radio, but DAMN their 1st cd is good.

I actually find them whiny and predictable. Go listen to Gorillaz and The Coral. Decent 'Pop'.

The modern day Prince music, with originality.

No, but This Love is a great song.

No, but Sunday Morning is a great little tune... don't know why, it just is.

Good stuff, If they keep it up over the next decade I could see them making it.

I think they have a good chance of making it, but they risk a chance of becoming sell-outs. This Love, Sunday Morning and Wake-up Call are all great songs, but Misery didn't live up to their standards and Moves Like Jagger is probably their worst song of all time. Their problem is that the more famous they get, the more people they have to please. The more people they have to please, the less original they get. The less original they get, the more fans they lose. And badabing badaboom, they go into a hiatus.Maybe a hiatus would be good for them, it would give them a chance to regain their senses. The sheer popularity of them right now could get them in, but a new and original rock album is what they need to clinch their place in the Hall.

Sure, Maroon 5 is great, and I'm a fan of theirs, but I wouldn't consider their music to be rock and roll. Their album as Kara's Flowers were more on the rocky side. Now they're just rock-pop.

They could easily make it into the Hall of Fame. On this date, they have about 12 hits (Harder to Breathe, This Love, She will be Loved, Sunday Morning, Wake up Call, Makes Me Wonder, Moves Like Jagger, Misery, Payphone, One More Night, Daylight, and Love Somebody) plus that one Kara's Flowers song. I think that they are well off. If they get more hits, I think that they will be all set.

Adam Levine's voice is comparable to Steve Perry's voice
As far as the music goes... Very different... Maroon 5 makes Pop-Rock and very solid pop rock at that (moves like jagger is a dud though)... Still too early to say what influence they will have. But if they keep it up... Yes.

Another band from '02 that I love to hate on. Calling them a rock band doesn't do me good; instead to me they are a boy band. They've got a lot of hits, and the soccer-moms love 'em. I'm sure most guys do too.

And please, don't compare Steve Perry to Adam Levine!
