Coom'on guys, Limp Bizkit is the one that bring rap and metal together and is one of the most energetic rock band ever in the history, they deserved some recognition, even if there is problem at woodstock 99.

I understand what you said, but they didn't do the best job. In fact, I belive Korn is the only nu-metal band that really has a chance at making the hall of fame. If you want to see how Limp Bizkit's being remembered, go check their page and the most listened to track...that should describe them pretty well.

i think rap and rock dont belong together. they stinkk. they have dun nothing to deserve to be placed in the rock hall of fame.

First of all, no one can deny the popularity and album sales this band has made. its been over 40 million sales, and over 10 singles. Fred Durst had character and energy. can anyone say they didnt have fun at their shows? and wes borland is by far the most entertaining guitarist of the 90's. no other guitarist had the creativity of this man and he has even built his own guitars...limp bizkit diserves to be in the hall of fame.

Even though i hate there guts (and pratically every sane human being agrees with me), they could get in (remember: innovation and influence)
INNOVATION: They ripped off Korn and Snot, sold their albums, even though they all suck. They made "rap/rock" big. Made "Behind Blue Eyes" completely unlistenable.
INFLUENCE: One of the originators of the 1999 Rock Revival. Spawned Linkin Park (who actually made good music). You know at least one person you went to high school with who wore his cap backwords "coz Bizkit rawks!!!!". Made bad music popular. Fred Durst signed She Wants Revenge to his label - of two great things he did. The other is discovering Stain'd. Both bands are muuch better than Bizkit.

Limp Bizkit was cool....when I was 12.

They're such a joke.

Posted by Tom on Sunday, 11.11.07 @ 10:33am

Agree with tom although even when I was 12 i can remember thinking what the hell is this but the music was loud enough i guess to stop me looking into it more. Now oh dear they're awful. I can't see who they appeal to? Clearly their aim is not to appeal to 12 year olds due to the lyrical content but who in their right mind as an adult wants to listen to some guy talk about killing someone with a chainsaw or w/e.

I think limp bizkit is badass and they still are if you comment they suck well you know thats your own opinion and no one cares. See what you dont understand is until you can make a band and go out make something for your band and become some big ass stars and sell millions of records and have major singles. Then you can say something but until then no one cares what you think. Ive been done that but do I let people criticize me NO. Because if they do there pathetic little losers that need to grow some balls.

Sam, did you like...take your medication today??

Posted by Terry on Saturday, 02.16.08 @ 14:16pm

Sam is right

You can't deny Limp Bizkit was a great band. Their live shows were something nobody saw ever before. And their songs, they were a whole new thing, like no one ever did before.
I have the Chocolate Starfish album and listened about 1000 times to it, every night again. and i never did this for any other album so far.

Posted by Stijn on Friday, 05.23.08 @ 18:31pm

and i've read somebody said LP is bether.

Hmmm, i have 2 albums of LP, they playtime is about 35 minutes, that's al the band can come up with, their songs are about 2-3 minutes long. You call that good? and LP, every song is about the same, the use of 2 voices, emotion-loaded lyrics ....

Posted by Stijn on Friday, 05.23.08 @ 18:36pm

Everything this band ever did had been done before, and about 1000 times better at that. Shutup.

Posted by Liam on Friday, 05.23.08 @ 18:38pm

give 1 example pls and i'll check it out

Posted by stijn on Friday, 05.23.08 @ 19:15pm

Faith No More.

Posted by Liam on Friday, 05.23.08 @ 19:18pm

oh my gosh liam, you're all over the community dragging yourself out and making bad comments! LOL i agree with Luke, is there really a band that you like? or have you taken your medication? LOL =P

Posted by Aira on Friday, 06.27.08 @ 11:09am

lol, Limp Bizkit in the rock and roll hall of fame.

"Rollin" is the worst song I ever heard

Posted by The Fudge on Saturday, 11.1.08 @ 13:51pm

This whole Nu-Metal crap is just the product of the American Dream gone awry. So there you have a bunch of disaffected Middle-American suburban kids who never got any attention from anyone covering their bodies in tattoos and reveling in self-harm and morbidity, to the point of parody. Take a look at Linkin Park for further examples of this.

(There's a difference, though, in being miserable just for its own sake and putting the finger in the wounds of modern society like Radiohead do for instance.)

Back in the height of the Rap Metal error (like 1999-2001), Fred Durst was like a hemorrhoid that just wouldn't go away.

Now that history has deemed his "music" to be beyond terrible, I hope we never see him again.

.. and as kid back in those days I actually bought their records... listening to them now makes me cringe.

Posted by Arnold Jay on Thursday, 01.29.09 @ 00:29am

3%? haha. theyre much more worth. musically theyre not bad at all.

Posted by Ben Dover on Saturday, 02.28.09 @ 05:29am

All what you've said bad or good! nothing will change LB is LB and they won HALL OF FAME award... that's all.

Posted by sk8burn on Sunday, 09.27.09 @ 05:37am

Hey, Rain Man...Limp Bizkit isn't (and never will be) in the R&R HoF...that's all!!!

Posted by Gitarzan on Sunday, 09.27.09 @ 10:53am

They may not have been the best Nu-Metal band or the most creative, but their high album sales and intense and energetic preformances are something to look at. Whether or not you like them, you cant deny that. That and the majority of you probably liked them until it was seen as "un cool".

Posted by Twitch on Thursday, 10.1.09 @ 23:07pm

Gitarzan, he was refering to the Kerrang! Hall of Fame, and they were voted in there this year after a successful reunion tour throughout Europe

Posted by J. Lewis on Saturday, 11.7.09 @ 13:52pm

No they shouldn't get in.
But Liam you don't know what you're talking about and you need to just stop making bad comments.
Limp Bizkit does not sound anything like Faith No More.

Posted by Mike on Tuesday, 03.9.10 @ 00:24am

limp bizkit is awesome, different music for people that think beyond the common line of music. some day it'll be recognized as it should be, mtv made 'em and mtv crashed 'em down, no matter what they never changed LB4E

Posted by bruce on Saturday, 10.30.10 @ 12:09pm

This band was created by the idiots at MTV, they suck and don't deserve to be inducted.

Posted by Bob on Monday, 07.18.11 @ 15:04pm

Well their lyrics aren't the best but Borland is unique and creative while Durst is different. He may be bratty but has some balls. I personally think these guys deserve it. they broke billboard records and rock album sales. Hell they beat Pearl Jams record in 1999.

Posted by Sam G. on Saturday, 01.21.12 @ 23:33pm

Sales ain't everything, unless you support the induction of the backstreet boys as well.

Posted by GFW on Sunday, 01.22.12 @ 09:14am

Quite possibly the worst mega-selling musical artist ever. A disgrace to all that is good to holy.

Posted by Sunking278 on Wednesday, 04.24.13 @ 06:32am

They only had one good song "N 2 Gether Now" and that was due to the DJ Premier supplied beat, and an appearance from Method Man... No... Just no
