My guess is she'd much rather be honored with a Songwriters Hall of Fame induction. Her songwriting catalogue is filled with a who's who of recording artists. Posted by Matt on Saturday, 08/15/2020 @ 11:35am |
Kim Carnes should be inducted in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame, never mind the classic Bette Davis Eyes, what about other great tracks, Voyeur, Draw Of The Cards, Crazy In The Night, I'll be Here Where The Heart Is, Invisible Hands, just to name a few, these may not have charted too high in the charts but she's more than put her work in, she really does deserve a place. We all know Rock Hall of Fame has been incredibly slack disgracefully overlooking or at best slow/overdue with inducting many worthy deserving female artists. However now that many of Kim's contemporary female artists have started to be inducted (Pat Benatar; Kate Bush; The GoGos) or at least finally be nominated (Cyndi Lauper; Cher) it's definitely overdue & time that Kim Carnes is nominated & hopefully inducted as both a successful songwriter & performer! Unfortunately too late for 2024 but definitely for the 2025 nominee list Posted by Nick W on Monday, 03/25/2024 @ 07:54am |
