Her milkshake certainly didn't bring me to the yard

Induction chances 22%? OK, NOT FUNNY

0% Induction chances is more appropriate

Here is an artist who is widely known as very inspiring, innovative and higly influential to all artists (i'm being sarcastic).

So, yes to NO vote.

Can someone actually explain to me how does Kelis person who has one of the lowest fan approvals on this site and isn't even rock has a higher chance of induction than Pat Benatar?

wow apologies for the lack of proof-reading in my last comment

APPARENTLY YOU PEOPLE DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT KELIS. DON'T JUDGE HER OFF OF ONE SONG. SHE IS BIGGER THAN MILKSHAKE. SHE IS A TRENDSETTER, INNOVATOR, AMAZING SONGWRITER, SINGER, BOSS, AND AMAZING PERSON. KELIS DESERVES TO BE IN THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME!

Indeed. It is the cult of the milkshake.

We who are her followers know her as "The Dairy Queen".

At the appointed hour, we shall gather at the Temple of 31 Flavors and offer a sacrifice to the gods Basken & Robbins. The cows are ready! Let the ceremony begin!

The High Priests Ben & Jerry have decreed it!!!

So it is written... so it shall be done...

or in our lingo - so it is scooped... so it shall be eaten!

I heard Kelis got a Degree in Prostitution from Hooker University (HU). Apparently, it's one of the world's leading univerities for "hands on experience."

Posted by Ogden on Saturday, 08.22.09 @ 04:51am

Wise words Ogden

Kelis scares me

Posted by Milestones on Saturday, 09.5.09 @ 06:17am

Beware the Cult of the Milkshake for you never know what they will be bringing to the hard to give to their masters Baskin & Robbins

Posted by Keebord on Saturday, 09.5.09 @ 06:30am

YOU PEOPLE ARE ALL WACKOS KELIS IS THE TINA TURNER OF HER GENERATION

Posted by Boongee on Saturday, 09.5.09 @ 06:32am

Getting a bit touchy there QUEEN KELIS? I think you should watch what you post before calling people "wackos" because judging by your comment...

Posted by Keebord on Saturday, 09.5.09 @ 06:33am

Indeed, Keebord...

THE CULT OF THE MILKSHAKE HATH RISEN!!!!!

We shall lead the fallen Queen Kelis up the 31 flavored steps and shackle her to the dreaded...

THRONE OF BUTTERSCOTCH!

we shall cover her in chocolate sauce... array the ceremonial chocolate chips... perform the sacred rituals from the Book of Kool Whip...

AND THE SACRIFICE HER TO THE GODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darren, you a member of the Cult of the Milkshake by any chance? Maybe you're the High Priest of the Order of Cream?

Posted by Keebord on Monday, 11.2.09 @ 18:12pm

Now that I've returned from my October sabbatical (baseball playoffs), I regret to say that I have lost faith in the cult of the Milkshake!

Yes, iit's true, my followers... the power of the shake was not enough to overcome the Yankees. I know the Phillies will be back next yr., but I'm not so sure about the milkshake...

What went wrong, I say to you... 31 flavors of offense, and none worked!

Posted by Cheesecrop on Monday, 11.9.09 @ 06:11am

is this a joke?

The fact this "Kelis" is getting 24% induction chances is a big joke, are you sure you didn't mean 0.24%?

I actually think she is a pretty stellar artist and is very underrated.
She is one of the rare truly unique artists and has shown that in her career. She hasn't been afraid to be weird or experimental.
Caught Out There- one of the most innovative songs and videos ever
Milkshake is a pretty iconic and awesome song. Sorry but it more enjoyable than anything the Red Hot Chilli Peppers recorded and they are in the hall. I hope she gets in

To all of you PATHETIC HATERS! Kelis has done a hell of a lot more than you people would ever know. She is very underrated and it's a shame that you people don't even know that the female artists you all praise so much copies off of her! Not to mention I bet none of you bastards even heard the entire album "Tasty", "Wanderland" and "Kaleidoscope". But your so quick to judge.

Posted by Aero on Saturday, 06.29.13 @ 07:58am

My fav female artists are Bjork and Joanna Newsom, I don't think they're copying off of Kelis.

Posted by GFW on Saturday, 06.29.13 @ 08:33am

Yea - my favorite female artists are Janet Jackson, PJ Harvey, Aimee Mann, Bjork, Robyn and Alanis Morissette. I'm fairly confident that none of them have copied Kelis.

Posted by Mike on Saturday, 06.29.13 @ 09:25am

For me, Siouxsie Sioux, PJ Harvey, Sinead O'Connor, Fiona Apple, Bjork, Anita Lane, the Slits, St. Vincent, Lykke Li, Tegan & Sara, Poly Styrene, Dusty Springfield, Francoise Hardy, Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams, Gillian Welch, Edith Piaf, Big Mama Thornton, Etta James, the Ronettes, Martha and the Vandellas, Patti Smith, Zola Jesus. I'm not really hearing that Kelis influence.

Now, I do see that Kelis apparently has an album named "Kaleidoscope", which is the name of Siouxsie & the Banshees' much beloved 1980 album. So, there does seem to be some thieving going on around here.
