Is this Karen Carpenter from The Carpenters?

Because she recorded a solo album in 1979 while her brother was taking a year off from recording because he was recovering from a drug addiction. Apparently, record executives didn't like the album and she was so distraught by it she refused to release it. It was subsequently released 13 years after her death in 1996.

The R&R Hall of Fame has become a popularity contest; how could The Carpenters, especially Karen not be inducted is beyond comprehension; not only were they the best selling group of the 70's but garnered two Grammy's beating out amongst others, The Beatles. In addition, you're talking about the greatest female singer of our era. Apparently they are not considered rock, what a joke, the current crop (2016) of inductees are all rock based? How disrespectful and a disgrace ignoring them is.
