Justin Timberlake will be LEGENDARY.

Posted by Anna on Thursday, 03.15.07 @ 16:49pm

Justin has so much talent he will always be remembered for who is and what he did.

Posted by Janet on Friday, 03.16.07 @ 16:21pm

Innovation and influence? Well then, Justin is a shoe-in. He has set the bar for other artists to follow and his latest album has shown artistic growth. I believe we can expect more from him in the years to come.

Posted by Richard on Saturday, 03.17.07 @ 05:43am

Musician? I think NOT!!! He sings over preprogramed, computer generated tracks. No Music equals NO TALENT!!!

Posted by Sean on Saturday, 03.17.07 @ 09:57am

Sean, I'm curious, have you seen him in concert? Seen him perform on TV? The Grammys (http://youtube.com/watch?v=e_wE7_Qobyg), maybe? I think you should take the time to see him sing, play the piano and guitar and maybe appreciate the fact that he has genuine talent. He's a musician as well as an entertainer(he never said he wasn't), which when combined, makes him a force to be reckoned with.

Posted by Tim on Sunday, 03.18.07 @ 20:21pm

No. no and no. Justin Timberlake should not be inducted. His music is modern pop and rnb which is not rock. Hell, how can this guy be even compared to gods like Led Zeppelin?

Posted by Daniel on Thursday, 03.22.07 @ 06:28am

It's not only about Rock and Roll.

"We couldn’t be more proud to honor this unique, diverse group of rockers, rappers, singers and poets. This is what rock and roll is all about," said Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation President and C.E.O., Joel Peresman.

This artist will never be a legend...

Posted by Dany on Saturday, 04.21.07 @ 11:44am

He's not yet, but I suppose if he has a shot, it will be based on his legendary song from 2007.

I'm of course talking about the song everyone has heard enough of.

I hate Justin Timberlake, but he is the new king of pop. If Michel Jackson is in then JT should.

Posted by Gassman on Sunday, 08.26.07 @ 17:42pm

No. There is nothing innovative about Justin Timberlake's music. His singing and dancing are ok at best. If he would develop his own style than maybe he would be better, but instead he tries so hard to imitate Michael Jackson. No, no,no. He has no business there!!

Posted by Brian on Sunday, 01.6.08 @ 18:19pm

Might be a bit too early to be sure, but he's definitely on the right track, to say the least. Selling 4 million plus of his current album in this day and age is impressive, and let's be honest, leave any Top-40 station on for no more than 2 hours tops, and you're virutally guaranteed to hear a song of his.

...and lets be honest, it would probably be the same song over and over!!!!

If I follow in the footsteps of the males in my family, I will not live past the age of 68. This means I will drop dead in 2026. Luckily, that is one year before this Michael Jackson wannabe is eligible for the Hof. If I am somehow lucky enough to live past 68 and if this no-talent is inducted, I will surely drop dead soon after from a "WTF" heart attack.

Come on people; please get real. What has he done that is any different than Michael Jackson? Okay, MJ is whiter, I admit that, but color should have no bearing on anyone's induction. And he was 25 years ahead of JT. Where has JT been inovative? Where has he been influential? Where is it that tells me that he has changed pop culture in any form?

Posted by Dameon on Wednesday, 03.5.08 @ 08:13am

Wasn't he part of that classic group, what were they called....Outa'SYNC?

Posted by Terry on Wednesday, 03.5.08 @ 09:30am

I voted "yes", put it's pretty much a pure prediction vote.

If he were to retire no, then no, he shouldn't go in.

I think his solo work is pretty awesome. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a fan. He's got unlimited potential, the sky's the limit for him.

I predict huge things to come for him in the future, accomplishing enough and being influential enough to make it into The Hall.

Posted by K-Money on Sunday, 04.13.08 @ 08:56am

Stop - please - stop! He is a white Michael Jackson; ooops, sorry, Michael is whiter than Timberlake.

No to the Hall.

FYI - J.T. and Janet Jackson's Super Bowl performance was nothing more than a rip-off of the Jagger/Tina Turner performance ( I think at Live Aid)

Posted by Dameon on Sunday, 04.13.08 @ 09:45am

I am sick and tired of hearing about Justin. He has a horrible voice and cannot sing. I do not understand why he has made it as far as he has. He definately does not deserve to be in a hall of fame, especially not the rock and roll hall of fame. He does not performe rock, he is a crappy pop star.

Posted by chuck williams on Friday, 11.14.08 @ 20:36pm

I would have to agree with chuck williams and the others against his induction. He is not unique, has minimal talent, and would be no where without his crappy 90's bubble gum tribute group. There is the slightest possiblity that he will mature and develope a personal style, but compared to other pop icons in the Hall, he would seem very, very out of place.

Rock on!!

Posted by Jake on Sunday, 03.29.09 @ 23:34pm

Who are you? You must gotta a jake struck up your cake, you phoney fraud. Justin T has more actual talent than just about anybody out there today. As for "bubble gum" group, NSYNC was a boy band you presumptuous twerp, and they were a very successful one at that. End your clueless comments.

Posted by Shooter on Monday, 03.30.09 @ 14:38pm

JT is still young, not even eligible til 2027. I WOULD bet on him getting inducted. Obviously he is heavily "influenced" by Michael Jackson, but why not? And who can do it better? People commenting he "can't sing" or is "not talented" ... what are you lookin at? My opinion, he blows away any other dudes in the pop genre. If you disagree, name me someone better.

Posted by Telarock on Thursday, 04.2.09 @ 10:34am

People equate Justin to the skank Britney, but unlike her he has much musical talent. 2027 is a long ways off, but he is good enough to get in.

Posted by Hank on Wednesday, 04.15.09 @ 14:27pm

lol lol, then what were

Robert Plant, Steve Taylor, Paul McCartney, John Lennon,Brian Johnson, Axl Rose (Justinmadonnaduet)

I have an easy answer for this question. Better musicians!

Posted by Dameon on Tuesday, 05.5.09 @ 11:17am

Ya maybe they are/were, but Justin is better looking ha ha, and has beautiful gf Jessica Biel. He also made love with Madonna, in between Hard Candy making sessions, no point in denying that. He loved a strong domineering woman like Madonna, he was a naughty boy and Madonna made sure he got spanked

Posted by JustinMadonnaduet on Tuesday, 05.5.09 @ 12:25pm

he's the best and he is a REAL POP STAR JT U'RE THE BEST!

Posted by Itza on Saturday, 05.23.09 @ 19:36pm

How about inducting a real talented band like Chicago.
Chicago's albums with Terry Kath alone made them more worthy than some of the 70's bands already inducted.
As for Timberlake.
If he can get in what a joke this makes the HOF.

In a word, "no".

Posted by Craig on Tuesday, 09.14.10 @ 16:05pm

J.T. gets a Yes vote from me. He is a superbly talented artist. He was on SNL again last night, very funny, have to love him. NSYNC may never get in, but J.T. is a must. In a word "Yes".

Hosted SNL again, now in 5-timer club w/ Steve Martin, Paul Simon, Goodman, Chevy Chase, et al, was great! Has big stadium tour going on this summer. @GFW Timberlake is doing a lot of stuff lately. Also got married to Jessica Biehl.

Posted by Benny on Friday, 04.5.13 @ 20:56pm

eh, 20/20 experience was pretty crap.

Posted by GFW on Saturday, 04.6.13 @ 06:30am

@GFW need to chek out JT's the BET Award Show tribute/performance w/Charlie Wilson ... they knocked it out the park!!!

Posted by Benny on Monday, 07.1.13 @ 15:15pm

Justin Timberlake is a REALLY talented artist. Did ya'll know he writes songs too? Yeah, he is talented and diverse. He could have tried country in my opinion. Watch his performance from the 2013 AMA's and you will know how talented this guy is. He has also inspired Robin Thicke, Chris Brown and the other Justin. So, yeah. Justin is in

Posted by Karl Singleton on Saturday, 02.1.14 @ 13:41pm

Posted by Gassman on Sunday, 08.26.07 @ 17:42pm

I take back this entire statement and I apologize for misspelling Michael Jackson's name.

20/20 Experience was an excellent pop album in an era were singles dominate. I think he has a chance if he continues to put up equally great work.

Posted by Gassman on Sunday, 03.15.15 @ 02:20am

Saw Mr. Timberlake perform Saturday in Franklin, TN. He was the headliner that night at the Pilgrimage Music Fest. I had mentioned to Jason when we were at Loufest, that I expected 'Full Metal Timberlake' & I must say he didn't disappoint me. Came out with a 14 member backing band, had Chris Stapelton & wife out for 3 songs, and played most all of his hits. Crowd was the biggest yet for a Pilgrimage Fest. They were there to see Justin. I think he's on his way to the Hall.

Posted by Paul in KY on Wednesday, 09.27.17 @ 14:59pm

Omg! 56% No vs. only 44% Yes on Justin Timberlake? Now that really is bullcrap! JT fans where the hell are you? Dude rocks out in every concert, super talented. Musical excellence par excellence! Basically a pop idol. Eligible in 2027. Grow a pair, of ears, you naysayers! Call me capital-D, liddle-ick. I am the real Dick and I say YES.

Posted by Dick on Thursday, 09.28.17 @ 03:15am

I think a lot of those no votes likely flooded in early in his solo career (and from the typical historically ignorant yahoos that seem to think that Rock N Roll is *only* what was marketed to them as Rock Music when they were teen boys).

I'm not a fan of modern pop, and I don't own a Justin Timberlake album or even a song; but the dude is impressively talented on every level, and has obviously become one of the key artists of his generation. I don't have to like the style of music in order to be able to hear the quality of the singer or the magnetism of the performers' stage presence.

Dude has absolutely transcended his boy band roots and should go in the HOF when his time is due.

Posted by Shrek on Thursday, 09.28.17 @ 12:28pm

Dick agree wit Shrek. JT aint in the mickey mouse club no more. Its since 2002 is the criteria so be judging my man as from that time. He will be in like flint.

Posted by Dick on Saturday, 09.30.17 @ 18:43pm

Glad you enjoyed his performance, Paul! I don't have any desire to see him live, but from what I hear he's a swell guy and he appreciates all music. When Garth Brooks took his tour to St. Louis 2 or 3 yrs ago, JT bought a ticket and sat close to the stage and sang along to all of his songs. (There is a video on Youtube that exists of all this!) JT credits so many people for his career, and one of the people at the top of his list is Garth Brooks. I'm sure Michael Jackson is #1. To me, MJ is still the 'King of Pop' despite of all the claims Timberlake makes of himself haha.

Timberlake is, without doubt, the leader of the whole pop/boy-band era for the past 20 years. He's the only guy to, as Shrek said above, transcend from his boy band roots. However, if he were to make it into the HOF, I'm sure there will be an outrage. We shall see in the next ten years if the HOF gets their act together on catching up on the backlog.
